I would really like to see "Newest" as the default landing page again. Visibility has always been a little dependent on posting time, but all newer pics seem to be getting less attention. As of this writing, there's only one image in the first three pages with more than 4 likes. Casual viewers just clicking to see what's new aren't likely to go back more than a couple pages, and I definitely remember that on the old gallery the first few pages would usually have at least one or two images that picked up right away.
Since the top bar already shows the most popular images, it feels redundant to have them up twice on the landing page instead of directing some attention at newer work.
I'm quite glad to see that the circuit has changed from Popular to Trending, atleast those do change more regulary. Though I still believe they can be made smaller in size.
However, for some reason I am now unable to see more than one page of Newest (same with Trending and Popular), I suspect it's not supposed to be only one page of each of those categories. Oddly enough, yesterday I had the option to go to page 2,3,4 etc so it's something new for sure, and nothing has changed on my end (regarding updates, computer etc)
OOHHH and thanks for giving us a way to find our Likes/Faves :) (only just noticed that lol)

Must be something they are actively working on, since it was there last night.
And that's good news, thank you gallery team for the ability to view favorites (edit: and other artist's favorites)! I don't think it was there yesterday, but maybe I missed it. Definitely see it now.
Yep, it's new, and the navigation went missing (for me) just moments ago.......
Stll missing a preference/setup option; as mentioned before I really would like the gallery to default to 'newest'; would be nice to set that in preferences if DAZ does not want that as a default.
Flag the image and select other and then just say you need a comment of yours removed and it wouldnt let you flag your own (and I'll report that to see if it can be changed)
You should notice a lot of changes/fixes today. The Devs have been super hard at work and have gotten a ton done.
- Crop should be working now
- You can re-arrange "image series" images using drag and drop (Where you post a bunch of images together like a comic book panel all as one image entry)
- Trending is now the main view rather than popular (I know some wanted newest but I think this gives a chance to spotlight lots of artists here and I think newest is actually getting decent traffic but we will keep an eye on it)
- Now if you go into your main album (where Newest and Popular are for your images) there is a new folder there which shows all the images you have liked/loved
- You can now "dislike" anything you may have accidentally liked. If you click a second time it will tell you that you liked it all ready but then also ask you if you want to remove the like at the top of the page and ask if you are sure.
- There should also now be xs for removing tags, categories, and products you decide you don't want
There is more but so many I think I lost count. That said, I will likely do the second Gallery video this weekend as I think most everything more major has been resolved. If you are still finding issues, please let me know.
Those who had the "moved to a new album" duplication issue, please check and see if the issue is still there. If so, let me know in this thread.
@barbult Your page should be "mostly" fixed. They are still sorting the thumbnails not appearing on that album though.

Yeah they are working on a couple things. That said it should be finished very shortly. I know page numbers were missing at the bottom of Popular and Newest and then they did some stuff with navigation so hopefully that will all be back really soon (like actually soon LOL)
Just a pesky bug... bad bug bad...buuut they scooted it out the door and got it to run away. Should be mostly good now (other than the one remaining thing which they were still working on)
This should now be resolved. If it is not, please let me know what browser you are using (and version) so we can look into it further.
This should be fully resolved now (other then a fluke here or there which all sites have from time to time) so you shouldn't need to wait etc. If you are still running into issues, please let me know and I'll pass it on
This was reported yesterday (can't recall if I mentioned) That said, I am unsure if they have gotten to this one yet. I believe they have but if you notice it still doing it, please let me know and I'll double check.
I wonder, if 4x6 grid we currently have a bit too little? For me, loading each new page is a bit slow compared to, for example, daz store pages. Though i'm on adsl internet, which is low speed by modern standards.
Another question, i don't remember if i already reported it, but i don't see a way to "open in a new tab" through right click option. It proposes me open picture in new tab, but not link itself. Weirdly, if i press middle mouse button, it works. But right click dialogue - not. And if i try right click - open in new tab on picture's TITLE (small name together with authors name), it opens a blank page with "about:blank#blocked".
Now I can't post new images to my gallery, although I was able to a few days ago.

THANK YOU!! For making it far easier to write down tags, products used etc :) Do you know if they are going to make it so that we can get proper sentences with our writing soon? As it is right now, if one write someting longer (a song text, a story or the like) it is just a block of text, instead of the paragraph we had put it into ourselves (this is one example of my own images - Sailorman's Hymn )

My Root Gallery appears to be fixed! Thank you, Ann, for reporting the problem and seeing that they fix it.
All the thanks goes to the Dev/Web team for the Gallery/Daz 3D. They have been AWESOME with the gallery fixes and really quick too
...yay the thumbnail crop works. Thank you.
Also like the way the Category and Tags work. much cleaner.
Wishlist:
Good to have the galleries back but there needs to be more visibility for new images ..
So first off, make "Newest" the default landing page .. we've already got the trending / popular bar at the top .. at least give new images a chance to be seen
Secondly, put more images on one page ... again, for the same reasons. Get the timing wrong when your image gets uploaded it can quickly move off page 1 into "where nobody bothers to look" territory ..
Thirdly, have a "follow artist" option and a page that shows all the renders of those who you follow so you get to see their new releases ..
Visibility depends so much on timing on these types of galleries .. get it wrong and a very good image can end up on New Page 6 with nobody getting to see it .. I don't want to turn it into a "us and them" thing .. but if you don't hit peak US time when you publish an image the chance of an image getting see drops .. so for anybody Non-US who posts can see their images disappear quickly before they get the chance to get a little love ..

I don't know if this issue has been reported yet but for some reason sometimes it tries to upload the image twice. I was able to catch a screen shot this time.
This is a series of images I was uploading and it did it on both the first and the second image when I uploaded. The one shown is the second image upload. Ive had it do it on single image uploads also.
It appears that when you upload an image to the gallery, it instantly gets a 'like'. Is this intentional? Seems a bit odd to me....
