  • I just tried generating a new permanent link and it gave me the same link.  Can you try again?  Maybe there was a Discord issue.  https://discord.gg/tVcDBMF

Yes, the latest bridge will work with UE5.02, but you must follow the instructions here:

    https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/574891/official-daztounreal-bridge-what-s-new-and-how-to-use-it

Specifically, you need to follow steps 1-5.  Note: I am working on a new version with an embedded unreal plugin installer, so these instructions will be changing soon (and hopefully be much easier).

    Hello

I'm just starting experimenting with this.. Couple of things I noticed..
    - Why is the character rotated 90° in UE5, when it's properly oriented in 4.27?

    - The ARKit morphs work fine in 4.26, but only a few are connected in UE5 (although the curve debug shows them all) Strangely it's still the case when you migrate the properly functionning setup from a 4.27 to a 5.0.3 project..

EDIT : My bad for the second question, I missed one checkbox (It's a bit convoluted TBH)

  • Hello - I have purchased several assets from the Daz 3D store along with their respective interactive licenses for a game project I have hired some developers to make for me. I cannot find how to import the assets into Unreal Engine 5 so my game development team, implement, program, and animate them as needed. Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction so my devs can start making progress with the actual assets?

    Thank you!

... waiting for Daz to Unreal 5.1

    The D2U 5.0 doesn't work in UE5.1

Unreal 5.3 native on linux, DAZ through WINE, no way to MANUALLY IMPORT exported .dtu and .fbx.
It's a shame there is no way to manually import them from unreal.

And even if you select *EVERYTHING* from the DazToUnreal options to export, it won't NEVER export the textures.

    What a shame.

  • I would love some tutorials that take a deeper dive into the plugin.  Especially exporting environments, animations, lights and cameras.  Please consider takeing some time to do that or at least point me toward written documentation for the above mentioned.

    Thanks

  • hi I am trying to install the plug in and it is not letting me even I followed the right direction. anyone know how to use the plug in with Daz4.32 to Unreal Engine 5.3?

    Dear @Daz_Sam

I have a question in regards to the Daz to Unreal Bridge. I am running Unreal 5.6 and according to the GitHub the Bridge is up to date to that version, however on the Daz end it will only permit me to install it for up to Unreal 5.3 (Which for some reason doesn't work either), and so I have followed all the given instructions for the latest version but Daz and Unreal do not seem to be communicating. (Does having Daz and Unreal installed on a hard drive other than C drive impact it's compatibility? Mine are on two different hard drives.) Initially before reading all the instructions I tried installing from Daz just using the 5.3 version on all my versions of unreal over 5.3 and the appropriate ones for under 5.3 but it worked on none of them. It complained about needing to be built via the Compiler not Unreal, then when I started up that version of Unreal it would be broken and refuse to start and refuse to let me disable the plugin. So I ended up reinstalling all unreal versions with the Daz to Unreal Bridge. Seeing as I have purchased quite a few Daz assets I wanted to see if this Bridge worked before considering buying more, so far no luck so if someone could help that would go a long way to reasuing me that I didn't just waste all my time with thinking Daz and Unreal might be conveniently compatible this way. Exporting and FBX and importing it is quite the time consuming process at times and the textures/materials definitely don't look right when I do that.

P.S. I'm not that experienced with either Daz or Unreal, this is not for any professional use but purely just so I can make a local game to play around with and learn.

the plugin for UE 5.7 doesn't work.
It says the module is not made by the current engine.

Could you bring to a 5.6 project and then migrate those files after import to your 5.7 project
