Tonight's update- with a second big thank you to Patience55 for the "companion chair".

You're most welcome, I'm happy to see that it's working out well :-)

I did notice in several photos of the room that often he had 2 "companion chairs" ... and lots of digital paperwork! [those PADD devices].

I made a set of data chips with a holder ... Poser and I are not on speaking terms atm so I have provided the .obj files. They should work fine. On my Poser it takes some guesswork to get them each imported in at the right size [do not center them], they should be landing in their places on the holder. For D/S all of these are made individually and then loaded "one by one". Then the chips parented to the holder and the holder placed on top of a desk or whatever. I provided "holding texture". The logo was simply one of the alphabet letters from Trek signs or something like that. It wasn't for his ship but gives the idea.

The sliced rock, well the ones sold around here have some thickness to them, sometimes a whole chunk of rough rock too.
I did find a picture of another one [a round water fossil thing] he had which is on the drawing board.
I don't know from the images you posting, but I did find a nice copy of the Captain's Ship painting which I touched up just a smidgin, but haven't done a frame for it yet. Let me know if you're interested in this.

    ammonite=round water fossil thing

Search Ammonite there are a lot of pics

    ty :-)

Okay Madison, found the image for the large data chip. Scroll down page some.

    http://www.startrekpropauthority.com/2011/02/star-trek-tng-generations-first-contact.html

I also found "another" fossil item that was part of his collection there. So if all goes well, sometime tomorrow morning I hope to have a few more props uploaded.

Note to Moderator: the link attacher is not working correctly.

But the ones in the TV series weren't that involved. The orange ones only had a few "circuits" running through them. I'm not using the "E" and it's level of tech in this story. I'm still working with the "D".
What other fossil did you find? According to what -very few- pics I could find, the rest of the stuff on the bottom shelves of those end tables look like jugs and bowls- stuff Picard might have found at various archeological digs over the years.

Any of you guys recognize this Bridge? It's not the one from Vanishing Point. This one's based on "Generations". I've got the original zip on a storage disc somewhere, but I've have take 2 days or more of digging to find it.

    Fossil on this page: http://startrekauction.blogspot.ca/2008_06_01_archive.html

The other one I've attached 'cause I don't remember where I got it.

That bridge I've seen so many variations of, some in Public Domain, some remakes, some rather expensive, and that wasn't very helpful but anyway. Note to creators, readmes!!!!

btw another note for creators ... rigged walls, bones, or somehow have walls that can be opened/closed ... no more zeroing out the opacity to see through walls because the nice new lighting system in D/S regards such things as solid walls apparently. ty.

I saved the pic of the fossil- it's flatter than I expected. And yes, Readmes are a big help.

The ammonite in the picture has been cut in half then polished
When I was collecting I had a fair number that I had done that way wish I still had them

Patience, a thought on cameras and walls.
In Poser, you can change both the scale- size of the camera- and the focal range. In Poser the default on the focal is 75. I usually reduce that to 25- and recently, I've been reducing the scale of the camera down to 50%- or even smaller. The combination gives a lot more room to maneuver.

Tonight's update: I've changed out the center prop behind Picard- Thanks go to Patience55 for tracking down the picture to get the texture from. I've also added Picard's orange data cards- or whatever they are. The pottery is pulled from my runtime. I'll be adding one more piece- Patience's rack of data chips, then I'll consider this one done.

Thank you. I'll check at Foundation 3D and see.

Edit: Just checked. There is no 1701-D Bridge at Foundation 3D.

    Madison,

Is that the TNG bridge made for Bryce? If so, how did you get it to export for poser? I have a Bryce model of the Generations bridge that I love but can't export it. I just have to render it in Bryce. If it's not that bridge, where did it come from?

It looks like a modification of two bridges, the bridge made for Bridge Commander

But with the chairs from RDuda's set.

Okay if anybody wants this I have a "shell" but not with a photo texture.

    DA Link

    Looks good Madison.

About the cameras and that, the problem is the new lighting, it doesn't go through walls. :-)
Not a major concern for myself but thought I should mention it for future sets people might be making.

I thought that was bridge was at Foundation3d but found a lot of models appear to be missing now ... or my search was way off.

This was not a Bryce model. It was Poser ready from the get-go. I don't remember where it came from- that's what I'm trying to find out.

Well, I checked there, too. Went to Sci-fi, Star Trek, sets- and it wasn't there.

There probably is in the original zip, on whatever storage disc I put it on- provided that I saved the original zip all those years ago. I have a habit of collecting models I know I'll need years before I'll actually use them.

Mad, I think it was part of the prologic 1701D thread... where someone is doing a deck by deck build. Quite sure I saw it on Foundation3D, but it looks like some sets were pulled as I can no longer find it either.

Ouch! Well, I can't say much. My Runtime is sitting at 101GB and a good size chunk of that's Trek related.
