Plug-in to Rigify Posing?

brainmuffinbrainmuffin Posts: 1,267
August 2020 in Blender Discussion

Has anyone been able to export a G8 character into Blender via the DAZ bridge and the successfully pose it using Rigify? I get lots of beach balls on my Mac, but other than being able to twist the foot into all manner of odd shapes, nothing else poses.

    Yes.

    Longer answer.

Set everything up first; last thing, select the existing rig and convert it to rigify. You can then delete the meta rig. I'd also advise hiding certain parts in the options as it is very cluttered.

You'll notice the tweaks are greyed out as I unselected them. You can hide and show as required, but other than the tweaks, it might be that the pose doesn't save correctly if others are not selected when saving; not sure yet. :)

I don't see that drop down, even after converting.

it will be under the right panel (N key) under the Item tab iirc, as long as something to do with the rig is selected.
