Export animal / creatures to blender

How well does Daz Dragon, T-Rex v3 and or other creatures including dog and horse export via .FBX? Does DaztoBlender also export them and what about rig? is that saved or does it end up as a static mesh model with textures on it needing to be re rigged and shape keyed?

Any particular issues with non human models exported that anyone is willing to share?

    Not tried any, but I'd be tempted to export as obj then try rigify.

    Saw this the other day on my rigify travels:

    At first I thought it was paid for, but don't think so now; rigify can handle other characters than the expected biped.

    Dunno FBX at all, but diffeomorphic seems to export them well, or at least the ones I have tried.

    I've not tried those but as they are rigged and IK rigged too those rigs should export as well.

    Thanks for the replies; I bought the hydra snake creature as test and it does export well with diffeo, exporting it any other way seems to be a disaster and the textures seems perfect with diffeomorphic once inside blender. 

    Rig from daz to blender is broken as I expected so you not going to select a bone and start posing like with humonoid characters and with the 'rigify anything' suggestion I actually went and bought that too as the later chapters won't be free but yes the basics are free to view in the tutorial series. Guess I need to stop being lazy and properly learn to rig things ;)
