Alas, any GCs I could buy here in Canada wouldn't be useful in the other CA...
...thank you for the update.
Another update: an anatomical irregularity has shown the surgery delay to be a blessing: no date yet, but keep praying.
It's not an irregularity, it's a normal anatomical variation-- there is a great deal of variation in the shape, branching, and location of nerves and blood vessels (and to an extent the intestines as well)
Anyhow, I hope he gets better as well.
Hoping all goes well when he eventually has the op.
Thanks for the update!
Y'all're welcome. Thanks for keeping on praying.
Apparantly Christian's Op is today.
Praying all goes well and you have a speedy recovery.
...sending many good feelings so that everything goes right.
..."my" Merida is sends her best wishes as well. She wouldn't be here without the inspiration he gave me.
Thinking of him now ...
Surgery tomorrow! Amen to that!

The way I read it it is today. She wrote that 14 hours ago which would have been yesterday in America wouldn't it?
Wancow is out of surgery! Things (tentatively) look up!

10 hours? Sheesh! I would cross fingers but that'd screw up my typing even more than usual ... ;)
...excellent news.
Hoping for a complication free recovery.
Hope you had a good night and things now start to improve. Speedy recovery.
Thank you for this wonderful update!
*holding thumbs and crossing fingers*
Just read the latest post and Christian is doing well and the doctors are pleased with the way he is after such a big Op.
I quote from the post
"were pleased to see him smile, joke and flirt with his nurse"
I saw that too. God ain't done with him yet!
I'm glad to hear that the surgery seems to have gone well.
I hope that recovery goes well, with no complications. Back on the other page I saw that link to the hospital site and I thought about leaving a comment or get well message, but wancow probably has no idea who I am, so that would probably be confusing or creepy... In the event that wancow does happen to read this... Get well soon, we all wish you the best!
...flirting with the nurse. Good sign.
Hoping for a speedy recovery.
The flirting sounds good!
*crossing fingers and sending wellwishes*
I am so happy the surgery went well. Here's to a speedy and complete recovery.
He's actually coming along nicely!

...thank you very much for that update. Made my day better.
You're welcome. Let's help bring him home.
Fantastic news. I find it odd that someone would steal his shoes though o.O;
All the same, I'm glad he seems to be keeping his spirits up and being moved to the step-down ward is a really good sign of recovery. Hopefully he'll be back on his feet in no time at all.
That is so good to read! Thanks for the info!
Thrilled by Wancow's progress. I'm not surprised that someone stole his shoes. The last four years of my brother's life he was shuffled between hospitals and a nursing home. Everything was labelled with his name. His shoes, socks, jeans, Hawaiian shirts, pajamas, winter jackets, baseball caps, CD players (3), CDs, books, glasses, and toiletries were stolen piece by piece. Some of them I'm pretty sure were stolen by staff members at the state hospital.
