I am realisitc I don't expect full geomatry indoor renders to take 1/2 hour but anything less then 13 to 15 hours in some cases will be a win. Most of my renders do not take all that long. I am glad I went with a more reliable brand. I currently have a gigabite and it has served me well for 3 years.
I am reading about some folks on the DS thread running 3 to 4 high end cards. Crazy stuff!
Wow, getting an offer for the old card at the same time, that is a sweet deal.
For sure really nice and friendly guys. The manager who was not in was at the other store which is now gone when I had my beast built ( if you can call it that compared to some of the folks here:) is the same..
As mentioned before to think I used to use HP laptops to render early on..
Since you already have a good GPU, I've wait for Ampere!
Its not like I can never upgreade again in the future..In any case I am stoked for this to come in & get installed..
And still renders can take a few hours.. :)
LOL I saw that.. So if I upgrade now or later some scenes will take longer all the same..
Running it I can see a decent boost early on no regrets! Temp is just like the 1080ti..
Great to hear you're enjoying it, and that after a bit of use you're happy with it.
Will have to see with heavier indoor scenes but a good start never the less..
My main goal was improved indoor render speeds. In some cases I am getting some sick times! Color me happy! Also it is soo much quieter..
