So recently I found someone that might be able to help me with my 3D hobby, like an instructor/guide almost? He does 3Ding for a living at home, and sometimes has classes on it... So I talked with him and we are setting up this idea where I'd be given a project to work on every week...

The first one we thought to try was a project/scene based on the theme of "Primitives" - the basic shapes and forms in 3D modeling I mean :)

I recalled back to this 'challenge' over at the C4DCafe forms where they did something similar, and the rules of the contest were that the whole scene had to remain fully constructed by primitives and could not be converted out of their parametric state. So all of the primitive elements - Cubes, Cylinders, Torus, etc were okay to use... The modifiers like Bend, Squish, Melt, Symmetry, Array, etc were okay... And splines and NURBS objects were okay. But nothing could be converted into a 'vertex object' where its polygons could be directly modified and such.

So I thought I'd try something similar. And in my usual "Let's get in over my head and jump in beyond what I'm likely able to do" sort of self, I thought to make a robo-raptor of sorts xD

Thus far I've only got part of the legs done. :)

    Re-working the legs a bit.

Not sure exactly where and how to proceed at this point though - or how to tackle various parts of the body like the feet. Mm, it's certainly
making me think about using Cinema's tools in ways I'm not used to or haven't tried using yet so... Learning experience? ^^

Think once I get the legs down I'll start thinking about adding more detail to them. :)

i think i'm ready to adopt another buppy. was thinking to go away for a vacation first, but my heart isn't in it.

gonna have to find a smaller buppy this time. 60lbs was too much for me to care of by myself when he couldn't walk any more.

Interesting concept, Rezca. Be sure not to overstep the bounds of the project, though.

I did not know that you can paint rooms. Cool. Don't forget the paint brushes.

Yeah I think I already have "overstepped" the project since I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing anymore.

Real frustrated right now actually, number of things going on:

    *Very very distracted and tired.
*My cat's been missing for two days now
*Been majorly hot the past few days, making it even harder to get any sleep
*Misty's brought up that game I hate so much and now everyone's talking about that. #2 complaint right now, just short of my cat nowhere to be found. I'll be back in a week, hopefully the RPG talk will have died down by then.
