Been thinking about an upgrade

I'm thinking it might bw time for an upgrade on my DAz software,uprading from 4.5 to 4.14, Would Ineed to uninstall 4.5 first before I installed 4.12? also,what Would happen to my DAZ content I alread have installed?

You don't need to uninstall, installing the new version takes care of that.

Your content won't be affected by the upgrade, however the content database system has changed since 4.5 so if you use smart content you should backup your database first. See the first post in this thread for instructions about upgrading from versions earlier than 4.9: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/353851/daz-studio-4-12-pro-general-release/p1

Oh and you will probably need to update plugins too if you have some installed.
