Yeah, my internet provider has had some glitchy days, probably from all the people using Zoom/Google Classroom/Microsoft Teams/etc. for school and work.  They never gave me a credit or even a game to play while waiting for service to be restored.

@ Fixmypcmike: Did you ask? My internet service provider will give me credit for downtime only if I ask for it; but the small amount I'd get is hardly worth the hassle of asking for it.

Mine, too, but unless it is an extended outage, the time you wait on hold with customer service is not worth it.

Yeah, most of these outages are for a few minutes or a few hours.  I've only asked when it was a couple of days.  But we didn't have to ask DAZ3D.

That's right, Daz proactively dealt with the problem in a generous way. Just think, if they did that every time a store sale was messed up, we'd be Store Credit millionaires! Think of the incentive they'd have to get it right the first time.

Why post 100th+ time about the same thing?
Daz has its issues with their prices but they have pretty good bargains, it's a trade-off.
Just sit out a bit and next day or soon after the error there is usually compensation flash sale, sale.

Favorite product: https://www.daz3d.com/daz-house-cat-with-dforce-hair I usually use it to make silly renders.

They give some store credit and you are all ready to forgive and forget yet another day full of errors, store bugs and wrong prices.

If this happened once in a blue moon I would understand it but it isn't the first time this year. It's not even the first time this spring.

Seriously, how hard is to have a backup site where to pretest all offers before sending them out to us.

This time I got spared but I know plenty of people lost precious time looking in the store. Our time is precious!

Instead of an apology and store credit I would prefer prevention so this doesn't happen in the future.

Except when a service such as my internet goes down, I get exactly nothing...and I still have to pay my bill. So this is a win for an outage to me.

I hope that your internet service doesn't go down as often as bugs appear on the Daz site or I recommend you change your vendor. If this was any other service with this rate of errors I would have changed it a long time.

I am also not saying that it's a bad thing that they give some stuff as compensation. My problem is with the fact that this is the only see I see they are doing about this and nothing to prevent this from happening again. Maybe they are doing more, I can't know that, but what I do know is that errors still happen often enough.

Not always of this scale with this downtime to prices but I think almost every week there is some sort of error where prices are lower at the start of the day.

You could say that this is in our favour but I say in the long run they are not in mine. You never really know if the prices are intended or not, you could spend time, maybe even an hour or more puttin up together carts and than puff, prices are back to normal and you are left with time lost for nothing.

This is not normal behaviour. Imagine going into a shop in real life and looking at clothes, or groceries and putting them in your cart and at checkout you are told that there was a mistake with prices and they actually cost more.

And this happening every week or every other week. This is not ok.

Store credits for just answering a question - that was a nice surprise. Maybe DAZ is not perfect, but this was the first time ever I got some compensation just because a software wasn't working as expected. Thank you!

    1) You should be able to see if you have store credit when you check out.

    2) I have gotten to my store credit from My Account and see it.

    How are you guys trying?

Add something to the cart, that usually fixes the error on store credit page (no idea why, but well, it works)

Am just checking. Are you not seeing your store credit balance on the checkout page, either?

That's usually just a display error on the page in "my account", the credit is there.

Correct. I'm just trying to establish if store balance available can or cannot be seen on the checkout page.

I can see my store credit in my account and I have used a good chunk of it today, all is working fine for me.

(And yes, from me too, again, thanks for your generosity, DAZ!)

Store credit is showing for me, too. Thanks @DAZ_Steve - much appreciated! Time to go shopping ;)

It doesn't, but it was just an example. And even if it did...not everybody has a choice in internet service providers. In the US, generally you have one option, and one option only for cable internet. I can't use anything else due to work requirements...so basically my ISP has me over a barrel.

After following Leana's recommendation of adding something to cart and removing it (it gave me an error the first time, but it worked the second time) store credit appears for me now as well.

That is the problem with a company having monopoly. It usually can set the rules and even prices because the end consumer doesn't have any alternatives. But since US is a very litigious country I think there are certain scenarios where you can sue the company. Maybe even file a class action if things are too bad.

Maybe I shouldn’t post this, but I’m a little confused. Daz_Steve said that three winners would get $150 in store credit EACH, and anyone else who participated would get $10. I got $50. Was I one of the winners? If so, shouldn’t I have received $150? I’m happy for whatever I got, whether $10, $150 or anything in between, it just seemed really strange to me.
