    I was offering manual removal as an alternative to uninstalling, if that was going to be tricky - it's not the "correct" way to do it. You could also leave Justin alone as long as you could spot which files belonged to him, I was again trying to keep the process simple.

    Notes:

    Trixy Hair for Genesis is missing a file in its manual downloads. I'm not sure if DAZ removed the Legacy version with the new update. I did contact support about this.

    Carrara 8.5 Pro Native Content can't be downloaded currently. This is the Benjamin for M5 Carrara shaders.

    I'm waiting to hear back from DAZ about some of the newer Genesis stuff that was included in Carrara 8.5. Some stuff may be missing from the downloads right now. Because 8.5 Pro contain so many products as part of it i the problem I understand, as only so many products can fit in a product the way things are set up an 8.5 Pro has no free room currently for the additional stuff.

    To All,

    I heard back from DAZ about Trixy Hair for Genesis. It will not have Legacy files now. DAZ updated the product page to remove the text that says it comes with Legacy files.

    The reason the product has no 02 file for download is because of this.

    SimonJM,

    try manually downloading the zip and seeing if you can install that way. I was able to decompress the zip and get the file, so it may just be a problem with downloading it via DIM or the download was incomplete for some reason when you downloaded it.

    I am new to Daz Studio (used to use Poser). We have a fast turnaround project involving a baby so we purchased the Genesis baby model. I also purchased the genesis morphs body and head products that were in the list of requirements for using the baby model. I installed the baby and morph sets then applied the baby to the default human model. While loading the baby, I got an error message saying a file was missing with a file path:

    Macintosh HD/users/shared/My Daz 3D Library/data/Daz 3D/Genesis/Base/Morphs/MostDigitalCreations/Genesis Baby/gbfinal.dsf

    If I browse to that directory however, the "gbfinal.dsf" file is right there where it should be. This leads me to wonder whether that file might be damaged. We tried installing all 3 products (baby and the head and body morphs) on other workstations here at our studio (tried mac and PC) but get the same error.

    I read through some of the lists of GEnesis problems at the start of this thread but not sure I understand what needs to be done if there are issues i.e.: resetting and reinstalling apps etc.

    I put a support ticket in with a detailed description of my problem TWO days ago but have not heard back at all (grrrr) and the deadline clock is ticking. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Maybe I just need to replace the gbfinal.dsf file? Or is it something bigger--ie reinstalling? I've already reisianalled all the asstes 3 times as well as upgrading from Daz Studio 4.0 to 4.6.

    I moved the files out the way and re-downloaded with DIM and it now installs :)

    Does the My DAZ3D Library folder appear under DAZ Studio Formats in the Content Library panbe? If not, right-click/control-click on DAZ Studio Formats, choose the Add directory option, and select Macintosh HD/users/shared/My Daz 3D Library/

    The Pen Hair update changed the G2F hair to conforming, but it completely broke the Genesis hair (error message pops up and hair loads as gray cubes). Also the Smart Content doesn't work. Sigh....

    Notes: DAZ fixed the missing Carrara 8.5 Pro Native Content, which is the benjamin for M5 Carrara shaders, & Carrara Hair Caps for Genesis and Genesis 2 downloads that are part of Carrara 8.5 Pro downloads.

    I'm not sure if the Genesis Hair Caps are part of 8.5, they are part of 8.5 Pro.

    I updated all the M5 & V5 Pro bundle items to show DIM versions with dates. Only ones I did that to are listed above, since several bundle items already indicated DIM file dates.

    You don't need to update those products if you used a stand alone installer and it was updated around the same time as the DIM version. Most of the DIMs came out last December and DAZ was still updating instllers at that time and was just starting to make DIM versions.

    Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials updated in DIM. No idea why; the readme doesn't list anything after July 1.

    Sans.Pokerface Expressions for Girl 6 updated in DIM. Updated Metadata.

    Also, an update to Subsurface Shader Base appears to come along for the ride with the Advanced Ambient Light or the Tarnished and Polished shaders. It's not separate from either, it didn't appear on its own, and I didn't select it separately, so I can't figure where else it came from.
