Can't buy Frida Character

When I try to click on the Frida character for V8 all it does is direct me back to the daz home page. Has this figure been removed for some reason? It's only the character the hair and other products are fine.

The product is still live in the store, the problem you have is a bug which happens randomly for some users with some products.

Usually if you add the product to your cart with the button on the list page, then go to your cart and try to access the product page from there it works.

(I have the same problem and the workaround works for me)

You can still put it in your cart if you use the button on the list page.

Have you instead trying to add it to cart?

That usually works for me, and then you can open it from cart.

The glitch turned up some time ago and seems to randomly direct people to the home page. Usually the cart button will put things in the cart, and from the cart they can be viewed.

Kind of going all around Robin Hood's barn but it does usually work.

I was able to get to the product page by a line on the bundle page. Here is the link for her. https://www.daz3d.com/ry-frida-for-victoria-8

Weird. Even that link just took me to the front page, but then I tried it again, and it worked.

I can select her, but not her "Various Age Bob Hairstyle."

  • Yeah this has been going on for ages, along with this thing where it randomly logs you out. You would think they would fix it seeing as it's their bread and butter that's being affected.

If they could fix it easily they'd have done it long ago...

I couldn't see the hair, but thanks to the tip of putting it in the cart first and then clicking it from there I can see it now. THANKS!

  • Daz fixed it a few hours ago, you have to clear the browser cache and try again.

The issue with the cake freebie was also fixed.  You have to clear the cache and try again.

  • Frida was instabuy for me...a realistic older character for my story...great stuff from raiya.
  • BTW...has anyone released an older black woman or man...heavy wrinkles and all?

I love Frida!  I might just get her since she's just a G8F character and not based on special custom UV's.  I like her clothes too. Several possibilites. They look super drab but you can always change those.  Hate the hair and I'd never use it.  I'll save $5.00 if I only get her and the clothes.

And no, I've never seen an older black female. Way past time. And a little wrinkly hubby to go with and walk arm in arm. heart

I love the cute faeries and super models etc.  But when I need to compose a story, what I really want are character actors.  I wrote one short story with your typical, older voodoo priestess of the bayou.  So, it'd be nice to have that sort of older black woman (rather than just changing the texture) for those and other stories.

Frida - yeah, I didn't want to spend the extra right now.  But, I felt that she was such a useful and well made character, that it was worth the money - especially with the loyalty discount.  I also snapped up the Tennessee character for the same reasons.  Kudos to Raiya for trying something a little different.

Have you tried using Zevo's morphs on an existing Black character? https://www.daz3d.com/aging-face-details-hd-for-genesis-3-and-8-females

As an older person myself, I want to make images with at least some mature characters. Plus they have interesting faces and features. I had to break my self-imposed embargo on buying more characters because I thought I have enough to provide bases for various morphing options to create my own from the parameter dials. But Frida won my heart and into the cart she went (once I figured out how to get to the store page for her). When it come to the younger generations, I usually opt for figures by @bluejaunte or similar - again, those that stand out from the normal DAZ offerings.

I'll bet: It Won't Be Long. There's Something Going On.
