Expression conversion.

Does anyone know if pose coverters work on expressions, as I believe these are done using morphs?

That's going to be a big "it depends" on both the specific converter and the characters you're converting from and to. 

In general, though, you're right that expressions are a mixture of posing of bones (like the facial rigs on Genesis 8) and morphs; so it's going to be hit or miss, I'm afraid.
