Yes there was a discussion in the nuts and bolts area regarding iray lighting.

    https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/719836/why-doesn-t-the-horse-have-a-shadow-in-the-public-restroom#latest

For 3DL,  ive always used omnifreaker  Uber Env 2 for the ambient light (incvluded with the dazstudio download)  then added distant lights for the key, fill and rim  using raytraced shadows..

I'm gonna add a small correction  it is the "omnifreaker"  folder in light presets  that has the  Uber Env 2 options.

can I point out  that her leg pose should be adjusted?Maybe twist her right leg so her heel is supported by the sofa edge not hanging in the air ,if you try to sit/lay on the sofa like that you'd find it uncomfortable if not impossible to maintain .....  lighting I don't know poses I do ......wink

I don't usually do the pinup rendering stuff.  So more of an experiment as we approach the big three-ohh-ohh

Wouldn't she be exiting a cake for a 30th birthday ? (if my search on 'big three-ohh-ohh' didn't go wrong)

FirstBastion Space Pirate Almira - She looks very cool! I think I remember reading somewhere that you were embarking on a visual novel? Are some of these renders captures of your characters? Like the one from "So, Here's The Plan" too. Would you be posting a little of your progress here in the forums?

Elor I'm glad I'm not the only one who had done a search on "big three-ohh-ohh". Lol. I wasn't sure who was turning 30, but thought it might maybe refer to something else that I'd not come across before. smiley

Yes in North America  the big "three-Ohhh"  represent turning 30 years old,   and no longer a being a twenty-something.

In my case here,  I added an extra zero  "big three-ohh-ohh"  just becuase I have been numbering my image posts,   and the last one was #299,  and the next one will be #300

Thank you Blue for the kind words. The Almira render above was just a test render, because I picked up the Almira character and hadn't rendered her for months until now.

The VN is Medieval Fantasy.  But I'm not quite ready to show anything yet. I am my own worst critic.  The "plan" render is actually a bonus render for a product I released at Renderosity lately.  Though She is a character in the VN,  and I'm sure some version of that image will make it into the story.

I understand. Too many of us are toughest on our own work, but at least it need not stop us from just enjoying the creative process and having fun first. Good luck with your VN! Look forward to see it one day! smiley

I admire your dedication to render the stuff you buy. I need to render more of what I purchase as well. I think I probably have enough content by now that it would take me years to render everything! lol

Congratulations on the 300th posted render! Very cool!

Thank you 3Diva.  I was certainly collecting and accumulating for years too, now I'm trying to put the library to use.  But the -- don't buy anything until you render what you got,  has served me well. Or atleast protected my wallet a bit from impulse.

    What is this outfit?
I tend only to buy what I need, but by need I mean use it once then never look at it again.  laugh

Looks to me like you could do with some free rubbish too.. It's not right that rubbish should cost money when people leave it lying around.. Plastic water bottles. And. Broken Glass Bottles
