Blender 2.8 with DAZ Studio

Since DAZ 3D has a promo on for tutorials, I was wondering how will the new interface and other features in Blender 2.8 impact the ability to learn Blender using these tutorials?

    Well, they are all clearly based on some version of Blender prior to 2.80 judging by the screenshots in the promos.  The interface in 2.80 is really quite different in 2.80, but I am sure all the features used in the tutorials still exist in 2.80.  

    I think if you are already comfortable using 2.80, it will not be too difficult to make use of these tutorials though not a step by step follow along.  If you have little or no experience with Blender, then I think you will struggle to follow along in 2.80. 

    You can still download Blender 2.79 from blender.org.

    I think using v2.79 will be necessary. From what I read the new interface is very different in v2.80 to make function more like the rest of the 3D industry (e.g. left click to select vs blender way of rick click to select).

    I have the easy modelling one and the content creation one. I'm working through the easy modelling one right now with 2.8 and it's fine. Only once or twice have I had to look things up because they're different in 2.8. The important concepts, functions, etc. are the same. I imagine the same result with the content creation one.

    I bought Easy modeling and morphing.  I enjoy her product demonstration videos, so I was looking forward to it.  I can't recommend it and think you'd be better off with a basic Blender 2.8 tutorial, since this one spends a lot of time on extremely basic stuff like downloading and keyboard shortcuts.  I also thought it was kind of rushed and you heard "It's extremely easy" a few too many times for a beginner 3D modelling tutorial you just paid for.  If it was that easy, we wouldn't be paying a tutor.

    I bought this one because it has the tutorials in .pdf form. I haven't played any of the videos yet, I'm finding working through the .pdf is doing the job for me.
