Gothic Lolita for genesis 3 or genesis 8

Any idea where I can find an gothic Lolita outfit for genesis 3/8? There WAS one but it was pulled the other day ???????????????? I’m talking like the more Japanese Lolita style not the club girl one that’s on Daz Studio site now

    I could have sworn there was a Gen 3 outfit that was vaugely Japanese goth lolita, but can't find it typing it in on the daz store (forgot its actual name) Renderosity may have some goth lolita outfits.

    I keep waiting for good Loli-clothes... I had wishlisted the Gothic Lolita, because it wasn't bad (though I don't use G3, which is why it was a lower priority on my wishlist), even though it didn't hit my happy-Loli vibe.  I kept hoping Littlefox would make some, since her earlier sets had such wonderful petticoats and fluffy bits...

    There's still the Hanami Outfit from the Sunny 7 bundle along with the textures for it that sort of works.  The Shadows textures for Lucid Dream are also sort of in that vibe.  You can always get fishnets, belts chokers etc. from somewhere.

    It looks like everything "lolita" has been removed.  There was also a "Lolita Gothic" and a Goldie Locks Lolita set at one point.

    (re: Hanami Outfit)  I hadn't seen that one... it's a little underdressed for what I think of as Loli, since it has no blouse or even shoulder straps, and a complete lack of bows... though the skirt isn't bad.  I think I am spoiled for the look because that's what my daughters shop and wear :-D  My laundry room is full of petticoats, cage hoops, and printed tights... the platform heels are my favourite (given my one girl is 5'11 already, I say it's overkill, but it's the look ;-)  )

    Oh, well...

    You may be able to get it to work with a bit of kit bashing, like over a blouse for example.

    Yo, why did they remove them? I saw a bunch on pinterest that looked to be what you are going for. Except they were removed from the Daz store for whatever reason. I kinda liked what I saw. Oh well, sorry friend.

    Its a bit of a stretch, but Crux has some stuff that MIGHT go with what you are looking for. As others have suggested, pull some piece from items to get that look. Half the fun of this stuff is messing around/experimenting.

    It looks like most of the stuff was renamed, and is starting to appear on the site again, but some of the links are still broken.

    Best I can tell, these are the updated links (after manually switching out the names). That being said, I don't know if it downloads properly or if it can be bought. I'd recommend proceeding with caution if you decide to try purchasing anything before this smooths out.

    I'm not an American, so sometimes American thinking is beyond me; but why don't DAZ like the name Lolita? It's a perfectly normal Spanish name.

    Has to do with a famous/infamous novel (piece of classic literature) and the use of the term "Loli" in certain circles as code for child p0rn. Dunno what would happen if somebody's name really was Lolita and she tried to use paypal, etc. or go into the online retail business. Would probably have difficulties, I should imagine.

    If you Google there is actually a lot of actors etc by that name worldwide and it's quite popular in some countries,

    I am always annoyed how a book and or film etc can appropriate a name and result in people being disadvantaged by it

    or in the case of some unfortunates named after the Goddess Isis get their name associated with a terrorist nation using the letters in its acronym.

    Good point, SadKitty, it's not just the name Lolita that is discriminated against. It's sad that some people can't separate the actions of a person (even a fictional person, for goodness sake) from the name, and perhaps worse that some other people reject the name simply because others do. Adolph, Napoleon and Genghis are perfectly good names. It is a pity that one bad owner can ruin a perfectly good name. Yet names like Jack, Luis, Jeffery, Al, John, Myra, Ed, Belle and many others somehow escape villification despite the crimes of one of their previous owners. Conclusion: there is no justice!

    I did purchase the Lolita Gothic dress quite a while ago, and it looks pretty. I even purchased certain textures for such dress.  Makes the dress more appealing.

    I personally think it may seem like items were pulled from the DAZ Shop when really they were renamed.  No wonder they are hard to find afterwards.

    However, I wonder if the Dreamland Models props were pulled from the DAZ Shop, and if so, I wonder if it was the creator's decision to pull the Dreamland props from the DAZ Shop?  I do know they exist on Renderosity.

    Heck, there was a live-action kids TV series about the goddess Isis having returned in the 20th Century to work as a costumed superheroen.  There was also a fictional government agency named ISIS in one of the Robot Chicken late night cartoon shows... and that freaking terrorist group with the same name trampled all over these.  0o

    Finally got around to installing the updated, renamed version of Goth Girl for Genesis 3 Female(s) (32461 formerly Gothic Lolita) and it unfortunatley has the same installation path as Goth Girl Outfit for Genesis 3 Female(s) (32581). Both use Goth Girl, and various sub-folders. Need better names...

    .. and there's a collision. "Goth Girl Stockings" is common to both, in the same folder, so one gets overwritten.

    [Edit] Submitted Help Ticket. (I would have used the other thread discussing the disappearance of these items, but it was locked)

    I took this list a bit further, trying to unwind the "de-Lolita-zation" of the product names.  Google's retention of old pictures was particularly helpful in relating the old "Lolita" product names with their new names.  DAZ could have done a bit better job of coordinating the new names with the old ones.  (My pet peeve: We would not have to rely on arbitrary product names so much if DAZ had a decent 21st-century content management system, but that's a rant for another time...).

    This is an excellent example of why a PA should either put an abbreviated version of their store name in the product name as saved, or create a subfolder for the product.
