I just bought 3 new environment sets (Burger Restaurant, Behind the Scenes - Studio and Props) well, 2 and a half, for a net of $10.43 (or $3.47 each) because of the $15 rebate!
The store credit is definitely worth it. I didn't think I'd jump on the deal, but the additional discount for having more than one item was a nice bonus along with the store credit.
It's a neat sale... I just don't want any of the items on offer, let alone three of them. I think Daz deserves credit for saying how long the sale lasts, though :-)
i think it a real turnoff to the PC+ program the fact the PC+ coupons don;t stack and are restricted to older stuff and especially non-PC+ items
Its opnly a one time use per month, so its not like all vendors or DAZ is going to take a whack the enitre month.
I am tempted to buy it too. But I am not sure I entirely understand the potential use of those two products. The last promo image of the product had me confused. How can we use this to achieve a TV layered preset material? I hope someone here can explain it using easy language? Thanks!
The "PlatClub" coupon works on new items but can only be used on non-PC Daz Originals, the "Save6" one works on all non-new items.
And "non-new" means "relased at least 60 days ago", it's really not that long...
You all must get different sale offers than I do then since I've looked at every sale since posting my OP and they've all been like today's.
In my email:
Open the link to Daz3D and I see:
And it's ALWAYS like this.
Several of the codes for previous buyers of Pro Bundles with Diego 8 did not require an additional purchase, they were free items or discounts.
I don't get the preoccupation with pro bundles. I rarely buy them because I don't like most of the bundled items. Rather, I spend money on items I think I will have a use for. I guess Daz doesn't appreciate that kind of patronage?
Absolutely agree. The only time I've bought a Pro Bundle is when they used to be on sale for silly discounts (90% or similar). I think some buy so as to be able to get the Anatomical Elements but there are cheaper (and better) 3rd Party options available. As for the bundle content - almost invariably not of any interest to me and I wouldn't buy them as individual products. Yet, much of the store promotion seems to be directed at bundles - I just don't get who buys them, or rather, why.
I would just wishlist what you want and buy what you need! Wait till what you want is really on sale then buy.
If enough of a bundle is useful (even if just for kitbashing outfits or characters), they are a fair discount over their individual parts - and as for the leftovers, it is often the case that I later have a need for a given style of outfit, hair or some other item that I wouldn't have individually bought but which is now very useful.
That said, the promotions are themselves often the motivation to buy bundles. There's been plenty of times that the offers you unlock for buying a bundle is worth the price on its own, so the contents of the bundle are basically just a bonus at that point.
(And vice versa - I will sometimes refuse to buy otherwise reasonable bundles when they first come out in spite against a confusing and awkward offer - leaving them to pick up on later and larger discounts).
I was around in those days, but haven't thought of the sales changes enough to lament what used to be.
I've seen a lot of items go on sale besides bundles, so I don't mind so much when they have pro bundle sales. If I don't like the majority of the items in the pro bundle, I choose not to buy it. If there are only certain items I like and I can wait for a future sale, that's what I do. It's not like those items never go on sale. The items included in those pro bundles are often discounted anyway (particularly the new releases), maybe not as much in the bundle, but they're still discounted. The non-pro bundle purchasers are still taken into account. Sure, we don't get the bonus "get x amount of items for free!" but often the extra items are things I already own or things I don't think are necessary for my collection.
