Substance Designer Tutorial & Material Graph - Procedural Grass
I just purchase the Procedural Grass tutorial from dassanv and I'm excited about going through it. However, the only guide I could find for the order of the videos is in the Details of product page:
What's Included and Features
- Substance Designer Tutorial & Material Graph - Procedural Grass: (.DUF)
- Section 00 - Base Setup and Custom Node
- Section 01 - Rock Generator
- Section 02 - Clover Generator
- Section 03 - Broadleaf Generator
- Section 04 - Dandelion Generator
- Section 05 - Elm Leaf Generator
- Section 06 - Dirt & Rocks
- Section 07 - Dandelion Coverage
- Section 08 - Broadleaf & Clover Coverage
- Section 09 - Straw & Leaves
- Section 10 - Grass Generation
- Section 11 - Height Optimization
- Section 12 - Roughness & AO
- Section 13 - Albedo (Base Color)
- Section 14 - Final Tweaks & Export
The problem is, the videos aren't numbered, nor are they all named the same as the sections listed above. I think I've got it figured out, but I'd love for the PA to stop by with an ordered list of the actual mp4 filenames.
Too bad the filenames don't start with the Section numbers. That would be very helpful.
(I've watched the first video, and while the PA talks fast and whips through the creation of the Custom Node, it was relatively easy to follow. Reminds me of Filter Forge, actually, so it should be easy for me to grasp the basics.)

With no responses so far, I'm willing to take a chance and see if the PA is here in the forums…
@dassanv, I have a quick question about your Procedural Grass tutorial. Please help. Thank you.
Yes I was in the same boat to, had to put in the numbers myself, not very good organisation.
I couldn't find "Section 13 - Albedo (Base Color)" could you ?
I think it's the video labeled Intro Only,
Here's what I came up with:
(I numbered them 01 through 15, though.)
I think this is correct, but I'd really like confirmation. I haven't even tried playing with Substance Designer, so I would have no clue if I was watching the videos out of sequence.
Yes I can confirm that's how I have them, I had "Intro only" first but opening it, I found it matched 13.
So that helped. And looking at each one at the start it matches to, I will say it fast paced and they brush over
it a little too quick for my liking you need some understanding where to find the nodes as well so not for beginners !
Yes, I noticed this was fast paced and not as simplified and easy to follow along with as video tuts from Dark Edge Design but I'm pretty good with pause and rewind. And while I'm a beginner with Substance Design, the structure reminds me a great deal of Filter Forge, which I have used to create a few filters. I think I'll do okay. (Fingers crossed!)
