  • System/Mothboard : ASUS Prime X470-Pro, CPU AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

    GPU 1: RTX 4060 TI 16GB

    GPU 2: RTX 2060 12GB

    System Memory: 48GB DDR4

    Nvidia Studio Driver 546.01

    DAZ Studio 4.22.0.15 (latest Version)

    CUDA device 0 (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti): 1800 iterations, 1.139s init, 201.437s render

    Total Rendering Time: 3 minutes 24.47 seconds

    That is really amazing and unexpectedly fast for this card. Its about 9 ITS. Is it due to the latest studio driver? When I got the card in November I achieved only 7,2 ITS. The paralell installed RTX 2060 rendered the scene in 8:02 Minutes with 3,75 ITS, just as expected. I wonder what results the new 4070 TI Super I ordered will bring. (will replace the 2060)

    As I have a new RTX 4070 Ti Super ready to go into my system, I'm doing a fresh benchmark of my current RTX 3060 on the latest version of DS/Iray to use for a proper comparison.

    System Configuration
    System/Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x @ stock (Disabled for render)
    GPUs:
    ASUS RTX 3060 TUF GAMING OC
    12GB @ Stock
    GIGABYTE GTX 1650 OC Low Profile 4GB @ Stock (Monitor card, not used in render)
    System Memory: 2x 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 @ 3600 MHz
    OS Drive: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M.2
    Asset Drive: Junctioned - Geometry on 2TB Samsung 870 QVO, Textures on 6TB Seagate IronWolf
    Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
    Operating System: Windows 10 Pro Build 19045
    Nvidia Drivers Version: 551.23
    Daz Studio Version: 4.22.1.58 Beta

    Benchmark Results
    2024-02-01 10:42:08.498 [INFO] :: Total Rendering Time: 4 minutes 47.81 seconds
    2024-02-01 10:50:53.124 Iray [INFO] - IRAY:RENDER ::   1.0   IRAY   rend info : CUDA device 0 (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060): 1800 iterations, 1.050s init, 268.225s render

    Iteration Rate: 6.71 iterations per second

    And now with the one people probably care more about, the RTX 4070 Ti Super (which I believe is our first benchmark of one):

    System Configuration
    System/Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x @ stock (Disabled for render)
    GPUs:
    ASUS RTX 4070 Ti Super ProArt OC 16GB @ Stock
    GIGABYTE GTX 1650 OC Low Profile 4GB @ Stock (Monitor card, not used in render)
    System Memory: 2x 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 @ 3600 MHz
    OS Drive: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M.2
    Asset Drive: Junctioned - Geometry on 2TB Samsung 870 QVO, Textures on 6TB Seagate IronWolf
    Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x
    Operating System: Windows 10 Pro Build 19045
    Nvidia Drivers Version: 551.23
    Daz Studio Version: 4.22.1.58 Beta

    Benchmark Results

    2024-02-01 12:32:02.644 [INFO] :: Total Rendering Time: 1 minutes 41.16 seconds
    2024-02-01 12:32:46.240 Iray [INFO] - IRAY:RENDER ::   1.0   IRAY   rend info : CUDA device 0 (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER): 1800 iterations, 0.984s init, 98.888s render

    Iteration Rate: 18.2 iterations per second

  • GPU: ASUS RTX 4080 Super TUF 16GB @ Stock

    Daz Studio Version: 4.22.1.58 Beta

    Benchmark Results

    IRAY rend info: 1800 iterations, 0.812s init, 92.022s render

    Total Rendering Time: 1 minutes 33.39 seconds

    Iteration Rate: 19.56 iterations per second

    Hmm - that makes me feel better about having to settle for the 4070 Ti Super rather than the 4080 Super, if there seems to be less than 10% in in the Iray performance.

    That does surprise me though, the specifications implied it would be more like a 20% jump. (I guess other system specs could be a factor here, but they are both ASUS cards from their somewhat premium lines).

    Anyone here who has an AMD GPU willing to give this:

    a try?

    IRAY_STATS  2024-03-03 22:38:30.758 Iray [INFO] - IRAY:RENDER ::   1.0   IRAY   rend info : CUDA device 0 (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER): 1800 iterations, 1.465s init, 91.023s render

    Loading Time: ((TRT_HOURS * 3600 + TRT_MINUTES * 60 + TRT_SECONDS) - DEVICE_RENDER_TIME) seconds

    -Couldn't find any of this, nor any sections called DAZ_STATS/IRAY_STATS. So I grabbed what seemed pertinent.

    **It shoudl be noted that there are 3 monitors (4k +2x HD) connected, and I did leave/have some things running in tray which might skew the results a little.

    I'm curious about how well it works.  The FAQ says that several 3D rendering applications and benchmarks have issues witht he software including V-Ray Octane and Cinebench.  I don't have any recent Radeon GPUs available to test it with.

    There is a disscusion in the ZLUDA project where people are talking about running DAZ Studio: https://github.com/vosen/ZLUDA/discussions/83

    I found this quote in Github link: "people are saying that Vluda will not run on Daz Studio/iRay because Vluda has no support for Optix."

    GPU: EVGA GTX 1650 04G-P4-1257-KR
    System Memory: 128GB OLOy DDR4 @ 3600
    OS Drive: Crucial P5 Plus 1TB
    Asset Drive: Crucial P5 Plus 1TB
    Power Supply: SuperFlower Leadex Platinum 1600 watt
    Operating System: Windows 10 Pro OS Build 19045.4239
    Nvidia Drivers Version: 551.76
    Daz Studio Version: 4.22.0.16
    Optix Prime Acceleration: NA

    Benchmark Results
    Total Rendering Time: 17 minutes 23.90 seconds
    IRAY:RENDER ::   1.0   IRAY   rend info : CUDA device 0 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650): 1800 iterations, 0.846s init, 1041.068s render
    Iteration Rate: (1800/1041.068) = 1.729 iterations per second
    Loading Time: ((1043.90 seconds) - 1041.068) = 2.832seconds
