Work around tip to use G8 skin builder on G3 and gens

If own https://www.daz3d.com/lie-baker you can use that to save skins and gens on G8 skin on skin bulder for G8 then tranfer them to G3.

Remember you have to save G8 and gens separately, also clear shader to the skin and gens before you reaply your new skin.
