    Judging by previous years, the PA sale will probably end some time in early/mid October.

    However, it'll be followed immediately by about a month of PC+ sale, then it's Thanksgiving/Black Friday, then it's Christmas. So we won't get back to the "normal" level of Daz sales until some time in January.

    Magento (the current store software) happened.  It's extremely complex and many consider it a nightmare to work with.

    I used to work with a Magento site, and based on my experience, I have to say that the implementation Daz has here is rock solid. I have never seen a magento-based site of this size (this many product) this stable. The glitches, I believe, mostly come down to the complexity of the sales: so many different sales running simultaneously. No matter what store engine you use, you can't go around the human factor with setting up the sales. Well, you can--extremely simple sales, one at a time. But would we really want that?

    Personally I'd rather see no sales at all, and fixed reasonable prices instead.  Sales used to be a way to get rid of inventory that didn't sell well, during a short period once or twice a year.  That made sense.   

    That doesn't make sense financially, though. If I only take myself as an example, I know for a fact that if the prices were lower, at say 40% of what they are now, and I could buy whatever I needed, whenever I needed, then I would not have bought half of the stuff I have. Not even a third. Sales make me buy them "now" because who knows when they'll be at this low price again. With a fixed price, I'll buy them when I'll need them. So these sales are great for Daz when the customer is a hobbyist. They buy way more stuff than what they would otherwise. So the hobbyists spend more money. And it's great for Daz when the customer is a professional who needs the items now. They are willing to pay the bigger, full price when they need the items. So the professionals

    Yes, I know how the whole thing works, I just don't think it's a healthy business model, neither for seller or buyer.

    Sorry, nope. Those were one day only coupons. The only coupon I know that is still active is the purple banner exclusive offer Diego thank you one.

    The language about "any new release" needs to be changed.  It's not any NEW release.  It's only the new releases shown on the page.  I mean it's not hard to check, but it's still wrong.

    LOL. :) The next step now is to find out the difference between flash sales and blink sales. So far, flash sales used to start in the middle of the day, and end at midnight. Blink sales used to start in the middle of the day, and end a couple hours later, way before midnight. Following this logic, the current sale should be a flash sale. So why is it a blink sale? Not that it really matters. :)

    Maybe in 5 years they'll get their hands on some script which client-side converts it into our local times.

    I think it's still a blink sale, only lasting a couple hours, since it just switched out. 12 PM (noon) rather than 12 AM (Midnight). I get these two mixed really easily (to the point I try to say noon or midnight to keep from getting them mixed up).

    But my understanding is that blink sales last 1-2 hours, while flash sales typically last 4 hours (sometimes more). :-)

    @Mazh, It's not uncommon for the prices/discounts to fluctuate wildly during an event sale. With Blink sales lasting only a couple of hours, there are a lot changes happening behind the scenes over a short period of time. The correct discounts should show up in the cart.

    If you don't already have it, the Daz Deals plugin is indispensable on days like this.

    Added some items to cart. Suddenly sale vanished. I am probably late or the sale last only few minutes. Cart cleared.

    Hmm, it's gone. So it was a blink sale. Okay. While everyone was happy about the end time being displayed, that's exactly what got me confused. :D

    This time price range is high enough if I compared to dollar with my country currency. Daz should consider this factor for legacy items at the time of sale. A single item is not a problem but if I need lot of for my current and future projects.

    It's a shame these flash sales are so fast. There were things in the first round I would have bought, just not through my cell phone at work. I hope there's a catch up sale at the end of the day, but that didn't happen last time I waited for that to happen.

    Hmm.  Today's ad says in two different places that if you buy one of today's new releases, you get a select DAZ original creature free. There's even a helpful asterisk stating that all items have to in the cart at the same time.  But do you know what the ad doesn't have?  A list of or link to the select original creatures that are eligible for the promotion.  Can we just select any DO creature we want or did the team putting the ads together forget something?

    After the "The Wild is Calling" appeared on the front page of the store, it took around 45 minutes before any new items actually appeared there.  Now the new items are shown twice, so it looks like whoever did this put new items in place of the DO creatures.

    It would be nice if just once there could be a sale where things actually worked at the start so that customers don't have to come back a couple of hours later to see if things are working yet.

    I think the first section (Today Only!) was for the Creatures.The second section is the real Debut New releases area.

    The Daz Deals plugin uses the links on the page to create the one link. I've notice the links contain an unexpected "#" and I suspect that's stopping the code from reading all the vendors, stopping at the first "#".

    I'm pretty sure Daz people are aware of today's promo snafu, and working frantically to get it fixed…
