Conventions?

I attended my first ever convention today, Origins Game Fair, in Columbus, OH, it was huge and enjoyable, the main reason for going was that my husband wanted to wactch one is his favorite online gamers do a live show.  It made me want go to a SIGGRAPH even more and try getting him to as well but they seem to be either in the West Coast or a different country...So I’m curious if there are other 3D conventions similar to SIGGRAPH, especially ones Daz might attend :).

I haven't attentded SIGGRAPH for the last few years... too close to Comicom for mybatteries to recharge... but the last time I saw them there was like five years ago, and almost everyone there is now staff at Hivewire.  The old DAZ management used to hit a couple of the big multi-media cons and even Anime Expo one year... I picked up some nice Aiko 3 and Hiro 3 t-shirts at that one, and until about two years ago Smith Micro still made the rounds.  Now, though, I think the closest thing is that WACOM still shows off the Poser products at a lot of cons.
