software updates daz studio 4

hello, I have daz studio 4 pro 32bit and the daz studio 4 64bit version but with all the updates and update-names I really have no clue what I have to download to update my daz studio 4 versions. what is the latest new version?

    Hi cosmo71....


    The current DS4 release is 4.0.3.47


    The current DS4.5 is 4.5.0.49 Release Candidate 2

    the latest stable version is DAZStudio_4.0.3.47 either 32 or 64 bit, the latest release of Daz Studio is DAZ Studio 4.5 Release Candidate 2 from http://www.daz3d.com/shop/free-3d-models-and-content/daz-studio-4-x-release-candidate/ your existing 4.x serial will work with this version, including Pro.

    does it mean that the ds 4.5 version works not well?

    and have a question to ds 4.5 rc2. Is it right that with this version the morphs of v4 clothes are not gone after autofitting to genesis?

    Autofit is improved, yes in this version, however any plugins, eg reality may not work until they are re-compiled for the new version IIRC.

    4.5 is a Release Candidate...working out final bugs and workflow issues. Here's the Change Log that lists fixes.


    Also here is the Discussion Thread for 4.5


    Auto-Fit has been updated to retain the morphs on transfer

    Also, just remembered it is advised that you don't have 4.0 and 4.5 installed at the same time either.

    is the updated Auto-Fit version available without daz studio 5?

    No... the updates to Auto-Fit are only available in the 4.5 RC, and like IanzThingz said, you can't have 4 and 4.5 on the same machine in either 32 or 64bit. 4.5 will over write 4 and any of your current plug-ins will not work because 4.5 has an updated SDK.


    Hopefully it won't be to much longer until it goes to final release...

    IMHO.... I think 4.5 is very good. It's not perfect but I had SO many issues with 4.0.3.47 that ANYTHING would have been an improvement. The improved Auto Fit saves morph information which we have all been clamoring for! :-)

    The one thing that did happen with this upgrade though is that there will be some "Duplicate ID" issues. Richard Haseltine made a nice script you can run per folder of clothing if your getting these errors and it fixes them. Very nice script.
