It's a pretty common error, it happens when the store loses its electronic marbles and gets confused about your state of logged-in-ness. And yes, that is how we're supposed to fix it.

The flash sales probably stopped at Daz midnight, which would have been roughly 15 minutes before you posted. Unfortunately banners sometimes don’t disappear immediately after the changeover.
well to be fair i was able to get 2 free stuffs, one for each promotion", ofcourse the first one i had to wait for a "lonnnng" time until they could fix but the second one was pretty fast, as soon i saw it i was able to use the code and worked fine.

Yeah, that's the problem I always have, since I'm in the UK. If I log in first thing in the morning, the banners are still up but the promotions never work. And the banners were up for a fairly long time until I got frustrated and stopped trying. As an ex ecommerce web developer I know that kind of thing is easy to fix, but it really has a negative effect on customers' goodwill. :(
Yea, I wonder why they don't fix those easy-to-fix small annoyances first of all. The gift card code input field e.g. used to throw an error if the code had invisible leading or trailing spaces when you copy/pasted it, so people were complaining all the time that their codes didn't work. Can be easily fixed using Trim (one line of code) - I believe it has been done now but the problem was there for several years.
