3D-Coat tutorial - outdated?

TaozTaoz Posts: 10,281

I recently bought 3D-Coat, but haven't been playing with it yet. I saw this tutorial in the tutorial sale today:

I have other tutorials from Fugazi and they're quite good, so I was considering it, but I can see it's from 2014 so I imagine 3D-Coat has changed so much since that it's pretty outdated?

I found the tutorial quite good, but the layout has changed compared to the current version of 3D-Coat

I bought it a couple of years back and the interface was different even then.  In spite of that, the tutorials showed the use of tools that were still the same and the workflow being demonstrated was still valid.

I need to admit that I haven't used 3D Coat enough to say whether these tutorials need a lot of refreshing to take new features into account.

The basics of the program remain the same and it is a program with so many features that anything that can help with getting started is good.

The last thing I want to do is be responsible for swaying your decision one way or the other ... but ... I intend to look at these tutorials over again a few more times (meaning I still view them as worth having).

Many other tutorials exist now out there but the sale price for this compact course is not bad, in my opinion.

Thank you! Yes, there seem to be quite a few newer tutorials out there. On the other hand, the more the better I guess as each may be covering different aspects and showing things from a different angle. I'll see if I can make up my mind before the sale is over. :)
