Saving Scene?

When I save a scene I have set up, then go to open the scene again later, the way the camera I had set has moved.  Why cant I open a scene the way it is when I save it?

Is this "camera 01" or whatever you named it? Or are you looking through perspective view?

Yes I have it set at perspective view. I cannot save a scene in perspective view?

Perspective view is not really a camera. It resets to its starting position every time you reopen DS. To "bookmark" your preferred spot in perspective view, go to create->create camera and select the option for "create a camera at current view" or whatever it's called.

Another drawback of using Views to render is that they have very limited controls — actual cameras have a lot more controls. Views are useful when setting up your scene, but they were never intended to be used to render (although you can for certain special effects). Note that somewhere in Edit>Preferences there's a tickbox that allows you to automatically have a default camera when you create a New scene. I've always used this, so I've never been stuck with a default Perspective View.

Thank you SpottedKitty. I just thought you save a scene and it would look like it did when you open it again. I will know to create a camera next time before saving it. We learn by our mistakes!
