What is the current easy-to-use image posting site that I can use to link pictures in the body of a text post?

You can just add an image to your post here by clicking the attach a file button at the bottom and then click the attachment to view it regular size, copy the URL and then edit the post and add the image and adjust the size in the dialogue (no bigger than 800 width) and you are good.
If you have a DeviantArt account you can also use your Sta.sh - https://sta.sh/
Keep in mind it has a 2 GB limit though.
