I have a question, does anyone know why Reality 4 would not use the texture? As you can see, the image is there, but the suit comes out white.
Grabbed it as soon as I saw it, looking for time to work with it (there's enough options there that it'll take a while to actually test it fully). Found time to test a quick 'n' dirty fitting on a version of Scott using one of the superhero MATs (rendered then run through some quick shading actions in PS).
Great job, as always, an automatic favourite.

Just adding my comment to the list...
I got the 98% crash as well!
Quite happy with my copy and so are my G2F/G3F characters. :)
I haven't had any trouble with it at all, works great for me.
I've noticed some times, when I take an AoA/Omni shader on a figure, and send it to the Daz Default shader (for setting up scenes), some times a surface will arbitrarily end up with an odd setting some where. Like 100% reflection on the teeth, or white ambient at 100% with no map on the skin, etc. It's a thought, and the result in 3Delight is similar to what you describe (pure white area on the figure).
Also, if you put enough light on a black mat no-gloss surface, you can make it appear white as well, tho I'm not sure that is happening if that is the render on the right of your screen-cap. looks more like a lack of diffuse strength, or to much gloss or ambient somewhere.
Wow this just moved to the top of my list. I now have new coupons....
Thank you for the comment. I will try to lower some of those values and see what happens. That was the render on the right. Thank you again.
With G3 & M7 coming out probably this month, I have to start nagging again: any news of the G2M version?
I see on some images and past promos an 'unzipped' effect... am I missing something? I can't find any way to do that, unless it's meant to be a transparency that you make yourself...
There are several morphs for it, 3 to 5, can't remember exactly.
It's a morph (or, rather, 12 morphs with each having a symmetrical, left and right versions, for a total of 36 morphs that, sometimes, play well together). Load the Ultra Bodysuit (the Ultra Catsuit doesn't have the morphs, but you could always load the bodysuit and a cowl together, if you wanted to), go to parameters, actor, style and there will be a section called "Open" which is rather self-explanatory. Now you can also enjoy Selina Kyle's most common attire :)
Edit: By the way, is there a work-around for how long it takes to load materials on the non-basic versions of the suit?
That is correct, there are only open morphs on the bodysuits. It would have been harder to do it on the catsuit with having the cowl welded to the bodysuit.
Which materials/suit combo are you having problems with? I just tried a few and they are loading fine for me.
Cheers!
Aaaah. I was trying to make a hoodie and open the zipper a bit. I didn't realize the morphs varied significantly.
Well, I just ran a couple of tests: loading the 01 Bodysuit V1 from the 3Delight Scifi Presets on the Ultra Bodysuit took nearly 11 minutes, selecting all the material zones and applying a fabric shader was even worse, taking 14 minutes and a half. I just reinstalled the suit to see if that solved anything, but it lookse like everything is pretty much the same. My computer is rather beefy (i7 at 4 GHz, 32 RAM GB and a SSD) so I always figured that Daz just started crying when I selected so many material zones, but if you say you haven't noticed anything strange, I guess there may be another problem I am not seeing.
Also, once again, thank you for an amazing produnt. It really is mind-boggling how versatile it is.
I just tried to load both versions of 01 Bodysuit V1 (3Delight and iray) on the Ultra Bodysuit and it only took a couple of seconds.
I have a similar system to yours but recently moved my library and pictures to a raid 5 setup as it was taking up way to much space on my SSD. I just built a whole new system soo.. cool! Anyway I digress.
When you try to load the Retro Race Suit what happens? Is it different when you try to use the Simple Mats versions?
Cheers!
I'm curious what the rules/permissions are for texture maps of other folks' work? I'm playing around with textures and curious whether I'd be permitted to distribute them free or on Daz store or... what.
If they're entirely your own work (made from templates rather than from an existing texture map) you can distribute or sell them, although as a courtesy most people ask the product owner.
Hey, what's the use of getting new toys if you can't brag about them? :)
Actually, yes--on the simple mats version, the textures just take a couple of seconds to load. Logic dictates that, if the number of material zones was the problem, the full version would take about double that time, not almost eleven minutes. I have no clue what is going on, any suggestions?
I would suggest try resaving it as a new preset once you have it loaded. Then try reloading it from your new preset to see if the time changes.
Well, that may solve the problem with loading the presets, but any suggestions as to what should I do with the time it takes to apply a shader? Most of my ideas for uniforms rely on applying the same shader to all the material zones and then start tweaking, and I must admit that having to wait a quarter of an hour everytime I start the process is helping me procrastinate almost as much as checking for blink sales (though far less expensive, off course).
Well, now that G3M is out and getting content, any news on the Ultra Bodysuit for G2M?
PLESE make one that work on G3male(s) too ;)
I NEED THE MALE BODYSUITS!!!! Thank you for the female one it's one of the best, with you's and Flipmode's, it pretty much covers all the styles I need.
Awesome! Definitely looking forward to it! :D
Huh. I'm running into the same issue, and I've got a system with nearly the same specs as yours. I didn't time them, but putting a shader on the bodysuit took something like 10-15 minutes -- it was the same shader on all material zones, so nothing complex. I also tried saving off the materials as a different preset, but that didn't help; there's no intrinsic reason why it should be any faster, after all.
I only have this problem with the full Bodysuit, though. The Simple MATs version, everything is very fast.
Hey, since both the TredZ Shoe products are out, will you be continuing your work on the male Catsuit?
Right now I am finishing up a conversion of my Genesis JeanZ to Genesis 3 female and male. I have had requests for them to be converted so went ahead and did it. I am adding Iray material versions, more morphs and more poses to go along with the new fits.
Probably going to say more than I should but here goes anyway. I put alot of work into the suits. Probably the most complex item I have created to date. So I was kind of burned out and then I was not happy with the launch. I did sell it to them so they could do what they wanted but I was hoping DAZ would have made a bigger deal out of it. Then with the release of Genesis 3 so soon after I just wasn't sure there was a need.
However, now that you bring it up I will take another look at it.
Thanks!
That's be great! :D
