I'm there as daywalker03, just like for NaNoWriMo.
Invites sent! We've still got room for more. Come on down!
I am nervous and excited at same time. I am excited about my project yet nervous if it will go well.
No pressure- just do the best you can, knowing you're with a group of supportive DAZaholic writers!
My handle will be pgtyner065, look forward to all the feedback that I can get to help me move forward!
Let me know when you create your project. The system won't let me send an invite until you have that done. Thanks!
LOL, that sounds like a fun product idea!
I set up my project. Not sure about the word count, this is the first thing that I have taken on to write this big.
How does this work exactly?
Signed up at CampNaNoWriMo and made a cabin.
Meanwhile, at the “National Writing Month” site, I sent a message to k***g***.
The message mentions “DAZaholic Writers” and cabins. “KG” probably wondered, “Who on earth is this ‘Acolastus’ person? Is he strung out on some sort drug called DAZ? Should I call the police?”
That probably means I’ve been reported as a possible danger to myself and others.
So my happy cabin Niente will no doubt have crime scene tape around it as police and K-9 dogs search for whatever this mysterious DAZ stuff is.

On a more serious note, sounds fun and a very noble effort. Hats off to anyone who can start a novel and actually finish it. Have never been able to do that myself.
Best wishes!

Bruce, I don't see anything in my inbox on Camp Nano. Is your username Acolastus? I can sent you an invite.
Got an invite. Thanks. That’s funny or embarrassing about a message to K****G*****
More than one? Oh dear. "Daz-a-holic" might sound kind of crazy. O_o
Meanwhile real life intrudes. Simple plumbing leak has turned into a remodeling nightmare from Hades. Might be out of pocket for a while but will try to check in every now & again.
Best wishes to all of you-- both rendering and writing! :)
Bruce

If Helpful:
Handle at “campnanowrimo” and “nanowrimo” = Acolastus
‘cabin’ (whatever that’s for-- my project?) = Niente
Sorry to hear about the plumbing issues! The universe seems to enjoy testing us when we're about to take on new projects! LOL
Invite sent! And that goal is very reasonable, less than 1k a day. You can do it!
Is anyone using, or is it possible to use this to edit a manuscript? I'm overhauling a manuscript that will require large sections to be rewritten, and don't really want to start yet another manuscript (I've got 2 that are partially complete already), but this sounds like it could be a great way to put some serious work in.
Yes, Brad, you can totally do that. I've done it in previous Camp Nanos. Editing is sometimes harder to count progress word-wise, but you could make your goal to edit a certain about of pages too. We still have room so come join the fun!
Great stuff, my username is BradCarsten
Invite sent!
We have seven more slots left, so if you're still on the fence, come on down and join the fun.
A friend of mine wanted to start a cabin and asked me to join her. I was under the impression we could be in more than one cabin, so I accepted, but now I can't find the DAZaholics cabin. I didn't choose the "opt out," button, but I think accepting that second invite effectively opted me out? I've read the Camp NaNoWriMo FAQs, but it doesn't say...
I think you can only be part of one cabin.
I think that instead of starting with a blank screen I will start editing my 1893 word story I started and then finish it.
Melissa, I can send you another invite. Also, I think I saw that you wanted to join the FB group, but when I went to add you, there was no one in the list to approve. That's the second time that's happened. I just want to make sure you got in if you wanted to.
No worries :)
I put my keyboard into the trunk and wondering if we are going straight home or if I need the keyboard to work on my story.
Not usually. We just encourage each other to write and post updates about how we're doing.
Stay motivated, folks. Every word written is a success. In fact, if you are editing, even removing words can be a success.
Cheering y'all on from the sidelines.
