  • I decided this morning that I was going to make my own... "adult assets"... in Blender. Then after I opened Blender I realized I'd completely forgotten how to use it.

    ...

    Sorry, I can't help myself...

Forgot how to use what? Blender or the "adult asset". surprise

Or;  adult assets and a blender should not be anywhere near each other.  The possible damage is frightening. (*shiver*)surprise

heheh Oh I don't know about that if Lorraina Bobbet had used a blender  ........things could have been shorter .....

It would be a waste of a perfectly good blender. No one's gonna use it after that.

I think trying to edit a texture/shader I messed it up.  Now DS is acting up.  It is getting late and I guess I need to go to bed.

Does Bing analyze my searches?  I am trying to research info for my book I am writing.  I want to know if someone else can borrow a credit card without any trouble if the card owner allows it.

Yes of course they analyze your searches.

The answer to your second question is "probably", but if the retailer asks for ID and yours doesn't match the name on the card, they can (and probably should) decline your purchase.

For some reason if I do a web search of "president Anthony Stark" I get pictures of an actor named Robert along with a dude named Donald.  Not that Robert and Donald are in the same picture.  The pictures are more of Robert instead of Donald.  Not too many pictures of Donald, but a few.

I saw an interview with Donald Trump.  He said he was asked by a young kid (during his first campaign) if he (Trump) was Bruce Wayne.  His answer was something like, "well, yeah, I'm kind of like Bruce Wayne."  Cute.  This was reported in the media and anything that is reported can contribute to any searches for "president" and any real or fictional character commonly known/thought to be very wealthy and/or who ran for or became president.  So Tony Stark.  Google, bing, and the others are sophisticated enough to know that "Tony" is synonomous with "Anthony".

Google, Bing, and all the rest are looking for heuristics that they can stitch together to give you focused results, but also a wider spread of results, since your results can span multiple pages.

But yes, they all analyze your searches and they all learn.  So even misspellings might return a valid result.  "Toni", for example.  Or "Brucie".  Don't be surprised if "Bruce Wayne" returns results for "Hulk" too, because of the similarity of Bruce Banner (comics) or David Bruce Banner (from the TV show)).  And don't be surprised if your search comes back with Bill Bixby (the actor who played "David Banner") or any of the actors who ever played "Lex Luthor", who is another character who was wealthy and became President in the comic books.

So yes, they're all analyzing your searches.  It's the only way they can make associations and ultimately get better at returning things you might want to buy.  Because when you buy things from a search, it justifies the existence of the search engines.  It is the only thing that justifies them.

I am so mad.  My staff saw a mail for me and assumed it was a check.  I opened it up and saw it was a loan offer.  I threw it out right away before knowing that the staff thought it was a check.  I told the staff that I threw it out because it was a fake check.  She did not believe me.  Now I feel like she is holding a grudge agaisnt me for hiding a check that did not exist.  The only check that I did not tell anyone about was not one that was sent in the mail but one I got in person at the survey place I go to do surveys for cash.  This time they gave me a check.

Now why would they care if you got a check?  Are they just evil?  Or do you owe them money?

I've done mostly nothing but render all day. I feel like I should have gone outside... worked on my tan... or something. And now I've gone too far... I am rendering an image of a girl eating a fairy. Clearly I need to step away from the computer.

Have you ever wondered if some of these high governmental jobs would be so fought over by power hungry morons if the pay scale was minimum wage?

So was it a raw fairy, or a cooked fairy?  If raw, was it found on a roadside, or on a windshield?  If cooked, what was the cooking method?

Okay, maybe it's better we don't know...

I think you just answered your own question.  "Power hungry" people do not necessarily get their power from their pay.

Sure, maybe you have power over your nanny or your landscaper because you pay them (and you can only do that if you have money), but the way I think of it is that if one has power (real or perceived), it comes from their authority to impact others' ability to exist and live gainfully.

For example, if you have the ability to get somebody hired or fired, that is power, as is the ability to prevent somebody from ever working again.  If you have the ability to house or make homeless somebody, that is power.  If you have the ability to free or imprison somebody, that is an exertion of power too.

The fairy was uncooked. It was in the girl's hand and she just shoved it in her mouth. I'd post the image but the fairy apparently didn't have clothes on. (I'll probably post it to my DA account though.)

I see.  Well at least without clothing, there's no peeling needed.  surprisecheeky

I hear some DAZ dogs like to chase fairies, but I haven't heard of any cases of ingestion.

Actually I just crushed my left ankle by rolling it, which rearranged some bones and broke some others. So now there's a metal bar and some pins in there to hold things in place. I 've been mostly lurking because it's hard to hold my lapttop under the circumstances. Not having any real pain so...

    Thanks for the concern. smiley

Oh, how horrible!  Is the hardware permanent, or just there to help you heal correctly?  In any case, I hope recovery is quick and complete!  I'm glad there's no real pain.  I assume that is because of some "aid".

  • This render is taking far too long for such a simple image. Grrrr

Speaking of fairys...  I just came back from a mineral and gem show and I purchased a bundle of "Needle Tourmaline" crystals.  Black, long, straight, thin, hexagonal rod shaped crystals with no branches or defects.  Kind of like flat-tipped sea urchin spines.  About 1 to 2 inches long. some are about 1/16 inch in diameter and others are as small as 1/32 inch in diameter.  I'm going to use them as "sticks" in a mineral "nest" for my rose quartz hummingbird.  I've been looking for just such a material for a long time.  They're perfect.  But I told the lady selling them that she should label them as magic wands for Fairys. laugh  Little girls would snap them up.  She took my advice. yes

Oh  you are being kind to your qurtz bird.   None of my Glass birds have been given nests m or even perches.   Well one has been given an illuminated stand, but I never remember to turn that on.  I gave it that becuase it has real silver in the glass.  I forget what they call the technique,  but it does sparkly nicely in the right light.

Yes, I love my rose-quartz hummingbird display.  It's a combination of several of my rocks and includes the amythyst rock he's sitting on, the petrified wood post the rock is on, a small calcite half-geode for the nest, some un-drilled pearls for eggs, and one small solid 14k gold egg.  When I get around to arranging my tourmaline "sticks" in the nest it will be complete.  (for now).  I removed the glass dome for the photograph.  But you can also see my jade penguin and the black onyx raven.  This is most of my "bird corner".

I forgot to put pretty pictures on my printed schedule that I am printing in purple font color.

Here are the pretty images I added.  I got them from Adobe Stock, but they were originally Adobe Illustrator files.  I used Illustrator to convert them to jpg.

Oh   they are cute birds.  My glass birds are mostly from Italy,  Murano, but they do have some quartz pebbles and other polished peebles scattered around on their shelf in the dispaly cabinet.  Have no photos as  1) my camera went wrong and I haven't replaced it yet   and 2  Glass is quite difficult to photograph.

I have a few glass items but no Murano.  I've, however, seen a few Murano birds.  Quite colorful, striking and delicate.  I'm too much of a klutz to handle glass items.  Too fragile.  It's amazing how tough my rock critters (horses, elephants, pigs, cats, dogs, rats, dinosaurs, etc.) are.  I've had them fall from their pedistals and survive but there is a limit so I keep my most fragile rocks (the birds with their beaks) under a dome.  I live in fear of bumping the jade beak of the hummingbird and giving him an unscheduled rhinoplasty.sad

elder scrolls online is a bit of a money pit.

spends real money to buy stuff in game.  like a house and furniture.

if only real life didnt have so much broken things, like my washer, stove, storm door, even my walker is falling apart. one brake is broken.  i slide in circles when i sit on it.

is hot nuff to need an a/c

was freaky a storm outside and a storm in game.

cpmpllainnt, the f12 key is too close to the backspace key, keep hitting it by accident.

Most games on iPad or computer are becoming a money pit.  It is so annoying.  EIther a lot of work with ads or a lot of money needs to go into the games.  Even when spending money, the ads do not go away.

I was about to complain at the lack of documentation & official tutorials and forgot about when I realized that even more cringing than the lack of these, there's the lack of access to the old forum data, which could have helped me polish the anime shader I'm trying to achieve in Shader Mixer.

    Soooo...

I forgot what my complaint was because I suddenly got another one that took precedence!

Non-complaint:  I went back to the Mineral and Gem show in Erie, PA again today.  (Wow, two mini-adventures in a row! surprise)  I needed some more "Needle Tourmaline" crystals for my hummingbird "Nest" and while there I drooled over the pretty pretty things again.  I came away with my needles and a nice nugget of raw native copper, and a beautiful largish (1.5 by 2.5 by 2.5  inch) rhomboid shaped crystal of semi-transparent calcite with perfect edges & corners exhibiting its bi-refractance property quite well.  I also found a better half-geode to serve as my hummingbird nest.yes

Complaint:  I wanted to stop at the "Steak & Shake" restaurant in Erie for lunch.  I hadn't been there in a couple years but discovered that it was just recently closed.  sad
