Content Pardise seems to be still up but some of the files are missing.  I am looking into my back ups to see if I have Terai Yuki 2 and the other stuff that is no longer there.

    A woodchuck *is* a groundhog.

    From wikipedia:

"The groundhog (Marmota monax), also known as a woodchuck, is a rodent of the family Sciuridae, belonging to the group of large ground squirrels known as marmots."

    My weak attempt at humor:

How much ground could a groundhog hog if a groundhog would hog ground?

I sincerely apologize for that... that was profoundly terrible.

I also sincerely apologize for saying I sincerely apologize since I know I will do stuff like that again (I might be doing it right now) and one can not sincerely apologize if they are aware they will repeat the same offense again, as that indicates a lack of sincerity on the part of the offender.

Non-complaint:  Had an attack of wanderlust and decided to take a ride in the country.  About 50 miles total.  Nice ride over the hills.   Stopped at a treasures (junk) store and found some cheap ($2) things to add to one of my collections. Ended up at the north end of the lake (Lake Chautauqua).  Had lunch at the little diner there.  Oof, too much comfort food, but good.  Then came home down the west side of the lake.  Stopped at Chautauqua Institute to get my ticket for upcoming concert, but the ticket booth is being renovated so I either have to pay extra to buy on-line or wait for a few more days until it opens again.  Continued down the west side of the lake to the Interstate bridge across the middle and came directly back home because it had started to rain by then.   Got home and topped off my too much food lunch by making a fresh strawberry shortcake.  Mmmm, yum! yes

It's a little known fact that some pigs naturally can fly but you don't see too many because, like sheep, "they have enormous difficulty in the comparatively simple act of perchin'", and it often does them in.

Complaint:  Arghhh...  Rebooted my main computer this morning and it failed saying "boot disk not found ...".  Was able to boot to diagnostics mode and it passed all diagnostics.  Rebooted again and it's now working.  Scary. sad

Time to double check my backups and yet again reconsider getting a new computer.  Went through this a couple months ago.  Went as far as getting new computer and bringing the box home but then getting buyer's remorse and bank account shock, which prompted me to return the unopened box.  Maybe it's time I just bit the bullet.  Win7 support is being dropped very soon and I really want a machine capable of handling more memory and a better graphics card and at least a 4-core CPU and USB-3, etc. etc.  Time to make another 10 year jump into the  present.  At one time not too long ago I had 11 computers that all worked and were all useful in one way or another.  Now I only have this 2-core desktop and my ancient single-core laptop, a frequently spazing Vista desktop, and two identical ancient XP desktops that are kept around for nostalga and spares for each other and in case I ever want to play some old games (haven't played any games in years). The XP's are currently being employed as a short table top and a doorstop.  Recently I've lost two monitors to breakdowns as well as a couple of hard drive enclosures and a couple of hard drives.  a few mice, a couple of routers and hubs.  Everything's getting old.  Just like me.frown

Last night I went out with my daughters for a school project to tag horseshoe crabs... they had too many volunteers, so the girls hung around with the crabs while I wandered off to take pictures of the very windy bay...

Cool picture.  But isn't sending a gaggle of little girls running after crabs, cruel and unusual punishment?  From what I've seen of horseshoe crabs, they aren't very fast and the game is rigged.surprise
