Hi,

I would like to make a character to walk in place, and after to render it on 8 directions.
This is for to have animated sprites for a game.

Can you explain me how to remove the displacement in the walk animation ?

Open the AniBlock to edit in KEYFRAME mode, Goto the Graph editor. Find HIP. DELETE all the Z translation frames to ZERO and then save as a NEW AniBlock.

Your more than welcome. I'm happy it was what you needed.

You could also just lock the hip's translation on frame 0 (under parameters) and the figure will loose the ability to move on its own (But can still be parented to another object and moved that way.) This works for all anblocks applied to that figure, in that particular file.

  • Just lock the Z-Translate axis on the Hip of the figure (and any of the other translation axis that you want to limit the motion). The keyframe method doesn't work (at least not in animate lite). This method works in both animate lite and animate 2.
