A few nights ago, I watched this Disney Pixar animation called Soul.  That movie inspired me to do this render.

Since I was doing lighting experiments, I thought I only use 1 spot light to create this split light image, however, I added one more spot light and pointed it to the wall. I wanted some detail to show thru from the wall, completing the overall look of the composition.

Here is the monochrome version. I actually render it in monochrome (saturation slider to 0)  I added a slight blue tint on the foreground and a faint yellow tint on the background. in photoshop.

Part of a project from my latest assignment working as a Virtual Prototype Engineer for a proposed new trailering system.  Truck is from 3D Warehouse, but can't show you the trailer.  So I subtiituted in an Ambrams A1 Tank and a military trailer also from 3D Warehouse.

Correction, its not an Ambrams.  Saw that the turrent on the Abrams covers almost the entire top section of the main body of the tank.

Thanks, but I cheated.  I used an image for the background.  Would never even come close using models and creating the lighting conditions myself.

I do not consider using images or pre-render background as really cheating when it comes to animation sometimes that is what you hacve to use to get the best results.   it takes time to learn how to optimize the scene for rendering.   I make tons of animations using daz studio & iray & it took me time to learn how to make a acceptable animation, so I say your on the right track. for bigger things to come. smiley

This was my latest daz iray animation i did.  its 12 minutes long.  it was the first time I had used MS Azure Ai voices for the actors as well .

Re: recent discussions, decided to blend Cleopatra and Twosret.

Here's a more historical Cleopatra, with the realistic magical pyramid powers she possessed that Hollywood doesn't accurately portray.

(Cleopatra texture, Twosret shape plus a bunch of tweaks, various other stuff)

Ivy, I really like those cityscape images you made. One product that I have requested in the Product Suggestions forum is a set of cityscapes that show the same scene in both day and night settings. They would be awesome for use in apartment scenes etc. Another one would be a coastal shot of a city skyline in both day and night for water scenes from a boat.

Still not convinced with the new PBRSkin shader. I'm more into the Old School's Iray Uber base.

I've not actually done many renders I'd call "finished" since I got my RTX 3060, so a fairly quick and simple one so I can pretend I've sort of done something:

I love her expression, hair, and the lighting! I'd vote for the bigger pattern too.

The skirt looks like she's wearing an aluminum can in both. I'd change it to black or brown silk or wool. Rest looks good though.

Thank you very much. I'm working on sci fi fashions different patterns and colors have different vibes. There was something calming about the blue, green, and hexagons

Thanks and some of the default skins have black and brown wool. All the default skins are nice tho I want to do something new and come up with my own sci fi aesthetic

I'm still not really giving the new card much of a workout, but this one at least throws the RTX an interior scene with limited light sources. I'm going to have to get more adventurous if I want to give the VRAM a challenge, but jumping from a 4 GB card to a 12 GB card is a pretty big change. (And I've also got a load of old ideas my last card couldn't handle that I now need to try to go back to).
