I guess I'm lucky to not have read or watched anything Titans before this series. So I have no preconcieved baggage. I know of the characters from here and there, from playing DC Games on my phone and computer. So going into it pretty much cold storywise. I thought it was excuted quite well. So seeing these first 3 episodes of Titans, I can see the potential of this being good take on the story. I don't mind dark stories. One reason I don't gravitate to the animated stuff, too goofy for me, it seems for younger audiences. Maybe I'm just getting old in my 46 years.

Overall, I trust Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti.

Well, I am 50 and the animated stories work for me just fine. The stories are actually pretty mature dealing with death, heroic sacrifice, determination and other heroic qualities. You should check them out. Also you do yourself a disservice for not having read the original Wolfman/Perez reboot: Beautiful writing, excellent stories, amazing artwork, etc.

I generally trust Berlanti and Johns but no one is perfect. THIS, however, is a mistep on their part.

I think I didn't make it clear , my bad. I meant the Teen Titans Go. Thats what looks goofy to me. Just not a fan of the art of that series. Now the other Titans Animated looks ok. I will check that series out.

The 4th episode was pretty good. Doom Patrol. Looks like they are bringing in a little more lighter moments to shine on the darkness.

Oh ABSOLUTELY. Titans GO! is CRAP! Dumbed down drivel. Check out the Titans cartoon before that for a much better show. Also Titans versus Justice League and Titans: Judas Contract animated films. Much better.
