Five cats -- holy cow. We're bursting at the furry seams with three. I can see why one of them decided to move into the birdhouse!
We've had as many as seven, for a short time. I brought home Newman when we already had five, and about a month later, I rescued Smidgen and nursed her back to health. It's been interesting, to say the least!
This would be Gus (black), Leo (ginger), and Huck (gray). Together, they are a force of nature...
Oh, and... Cat ownership in a nutshell:
What beautiful fur-babies. And the second image is spot on. And the more important the papers, the more likely they'll become bedding. I think we even had a muddy paw print on the legal papers we had to sign when we refinanced the house. But there's another thing the cats love to lay on… the TV remote! LOL
My girls have to see what's in the grocery bags even before I get to them. When they're empty, one will make a nest and sleep for a spell ;).
Yeah, the whole gift card thing is really annoying. I've had what Wilfred mentioned happen to me before. I ordered and paid for a GC got the two emails, both of them invalid. I panic. Chew my nails. Curse the digitals gods for all they're worth. Breathe. Find my Zen. Try again. And.... wow... it worked. Mind you this took a good half an hour or so, so it maybe worth checking again now.
I get two codes more often than not. Never made the paypal connection before, but you're right -- that could be it. I had a paypal balance that I used for the smaller gift card code. In any case, I'm used to getting two codes and having one of them not work. Yesterday I bought two gift cards on two separate orders. I received 3 emails. 2 of them worked -- but for the SAME gift card. The (much) larger card code didn't work at all, and the smaller one worked twice. That is clearly a glitch. I'm still annoyed that I might get static about wanting cash back, but as it turns out, this is less of a big deal (to me) than it started out being yesterday.
After my initial rant, I was contacted by someone who I'd agreed to do a commission for about a month ago. In the few hours since I've begun working, I've needed a few items for that project (which will be covered by the commission fee on my end.) At this point, I'm willing to accept store credit if customer service can refund THOSE purchases to my card. There's still a significant amount of money involved, but my blood pressure has resumed a more normal state, thanks to the cats and to the fact that I'm making art. The universe has a way of sorting this stuff out, I guess.
I now think this is God's way of telling me to shut up and always just accept store credit, because it's not like I'm not going to spend it anyway. Whoever gets my support ticket tomorrow will think I've got multiple personalities, lol.
Something else to do, if you'd planned on picking up sale items this weekend on the gift card -
Add the items to your cart; screen-print the cart, multiple prints if required (you want to show all items and the final discounted total)
Update your ticket; add the screen prints and something along this as text: "If the gift card code had arrived I would have purchased these items on the weekend sale with it; please add them to my product library. The gift card was for $X, the order total is $Y - leaving a balance of $Z. Please add the balance to my store credit"
Stuff happens from time to time; I have an open ticket myself, as I only got one code (I've never received more than one) and it won't redeem.
I know -- and they always straighten things out if I wait. But waiting is just a luxury that I cannot afford -- I literally don't have time to use the bathroom during a normal workday and I've been sick as death for 3 weeks. I haven't turned on my very new, very expensive computer in probably a month, maybe more. The last thing I uploaded to my gallery was in early August. So, when I spend A LOT of money on a gift card on Saturday morning that was meant to cover everything I missed in the 7-week blowout sale, only to be told that the hundreds of dollars of items I'd planned on using all weekend won't be available until Monday??? You can see why I'm annoyed.
I feel like DAZ might have planned ahead a little and had some kind of customer service available this weekend. Maybe also on the closing weekends of the PC and March Madness sales, too. When almost your entire store is half off, you're offering a massive gift card sale, and your cart software is glitchy under normal circumstances, you probably should have someone standing by to man the fort, so to speak. I'm trying to imagine another business where I can buy something, run into trouble at checkout, and then being told to wait 2 days before I can finish buying the thing I'm buying. I feel like I'm waiting for the clerk to assist me at the grocery store self-check terminal, and I've been asked to pull up a sleeping bag for a day or two.
I agree. My intent was to buy a 300 dollar gift card wtih the 25 percent discount. As a result I lost quite a chunk of change, I might've used to buy new things in recent sales.
It seems to me, being more understanding in such an error prone process would've been a better choice.
Unfortunately, it also sets a precedent. If my coupon error was not honored, then I would expect no other coupon errors to be honored. Fair is fair.

I've bought many gift cards but never got more than one code, and it has always worked. Wonder why the system treats people differently here.
Did you use PayPal as the payment method? I only get two codes when I pay with PayPal.
No, never, always credit card. I guess that should make it easier to find the bug then.
Interesting, as I use Paypal too and more often than not get two codes each time.

Because... this. Just now.
You do, if you're an artist. That goes without saying.
1. Moody
2. Not Moody at the moment.
Mistakes are not legally binding. DAZ3D should refund gift cards if there was a mistake made despite their policy.
This might also account for my fondness for cats.

The no refunds applies to properly completed transactions, if there's an error in the process it is not relevant.
