I always had my suspicions that you were a sentient cat... I pictured more tabby though.

This total fits with my theory that at least 36% of the people on the DAZ forums are actually feline.

FLOOOOF!!! Our neighbours had a big, fluffster tabby that looked a lot like that one, back in the 80s-90s. Of course he wasn't purebred, he came to the neighbourhood as a young stray, but this type of cat was very common back then. He was neutered, so he was semi-friendly with our own un-neutered tom. He'd been staying with us (and our increasingly unamused cat) for a couple of weeks, before our neighbours took him in and became his Forever Home, so he felt pretty at home at our place, too. Majestic though he looked, he was a dork. laugh

Non-complaint:  Yay, my A/C is out of the window for the winter.  yes

Is it now on the ground outside the window?  wink

No, its on the floor inside the window sitting on a plastic mat.  I got smart and had somebody 30 years younger do the heavy lifting.  I just held the window up. smiley

It will sit there until late spring.  Someday I'll get ambitious and find a small table or box that will fit over it and provide a useful surface for something. enlightened

Someone 30 years younger than me would be a five year old.

Not sure, but how would one tell if a cat is a vampire?  Last time I checked, both of my mum's cats have fangs, so that is not a way to tell if they have been turned or not.

I googled "the cat is a dork". According to the videos, apparently a cat is a dork if it exhibits perfectly normal cat behavior. cheeky

Non-complaint:  Yesterday was a decent sunny day but cool.  It had been dry enough that I was able to get my A/C out of the window. smiley

Complaint:  Rain, rain, rain... all last night and all day today so far.  A consistent slightly more than drizzly rain.  And the temperature hasn't budged at all either.  It's now been well over 100 hours of 40F day & night, rain or shine.  If it wasn't for the rain I'd say the weather is stuck on Pause.  Unfortunately though, I wouldn't be surprised to wake up one morning soon and see that white stuff all over the ground. frown

Yes, I had to have it done for gallstones It was done with laposcopic surgery with a less than 1" incision. Recovery was quick and easy and only took a day or two and the surgery took care of the problem.

They fall out of trees,* try to jump onboard boats and get very wet,** get scared silly by plushie toys and nearly burn their paws off when they jump onto the stovetop,* never learn how not to push ornery best friend's buttons...* And probably many other things I can't remember.

    *Happened over at our place.

    **Happened at owners' home.

..well was not going to say much about this here as I had a separate thread about this, but it looks as if indeed the past 6 years of my creative life was lost earlier this month when I had a major drive failure. Purchased installed and initialised a new drive then tired to open and recover the backup I made before the drive went completely belly up, but it won;'t even let me view the backup file in WinZip as I am supposed to be able to, let alone allow me extract and recover it.  I keep getting one error that says the backup may be corrupted and another that says it isn't a valid archive file.

Furthermore, when I did the "attach VHD" option, the size exactly matches the that of my C;Drive, not the data I selected top be backed up from the D: Library drive, and the entire file/memory size is listed as "unallocated" rather than being a valid partition as it should be.

So, indeed looks like all was lost. .Now I have to face a long and labourious process of first rebuilding my content library and custom runtime (including rummaging around to find media backups of all my non Daz content and my massive freebie collection), then rebuilding all the characters I had created thus far (including custom morphs and skins) and the scenes themselves, a number of which were not rendered due to limited system resources or were still in progress.

I'd go for a good long walk but it is late and bucketing rain outside.

Well, it could have been worse.  Murphy could have struck during all your disk recovery attempts and let the blue smoke out of something else. surprise

  • Complaint: I was up in Seattle for a few days, everyone kept saying " Another perfect sunny day, aren't you lucky''.

No!!! We have sunshine 364 days a year in Phoenix--was hoping for a nice big thunder and lightening show. ( exageration- we do get some rain)

The leaves however, were gorgeous, almost rivaling the New England fall colors.

  • Complaint:  Yet another 24 hours of 40F temperatures.  Still raining.  Getting monotonous. frown

Complaint:  Decided to take a drive in the wet drizzlyness to my favorite fruit stand for another half dozen "Honey Crisp" apples.  But it's closed for the season. sad All that's left is a pile of pumpkins being sold on the honor system.

Non-complaint:  Last night I finished watching the last of the available "Gotham" TV series.   Looking forward to someday viewing the final year of it.

Gotham will start up as a mid-season program.  I'm looking forward to it, too.  It will be the final season, so I'm wondering if he'll don the cowl and cape, at least some early version of it.  They waited until the final season for Clark to put on the cape on Smallville.  I'm thinking they're probably going to do the same thing.  I could be wrong, though.

  • Non-complaint:  Finished the first season of "Ekaterina: The Rise of Catherine The Great"  It was pretty much by the book except at the end.  They sort of rushed the part where she and her troops defeat her husband Peter's troops.  But they did a really good job of painting Peter III as immature, vindictive, unwise, traitorous, and totally unsuited for leading a vast country.  She was going to just send him away to a prison but her generals just did him in anyway.   Very satisfied with the production despite the few places things were glossed over. yes

Complaint:  The second season of the series isn't free.  sad

The first hit is always free.

Seriously, though, they did the same thing to me with The Expanse.  I watched a couple seasons (3, I think), then the new one is not free.  I'm waiting to see hwat happens with Lost In Space.  They've messed with the story a little, but it was very good.  I hope they don't want money for the second season.

Once you get a floater, is doesn't go away.  Usually, most people get used to them and don't notice them most of the time.
