Having to reinstall genesis

Yesterday I got DAZ 3D. I also got Genesis starter essentials. But when I opened DAZ again, today, there was NOTHING in the actors section. Nothing! I have set it to re download again, but 423 MB is a lot to download. Any idea why this MIGHT be happening?

    Are you using the DIM (Daz Install Manager) to install Genesis Starter Essentials?

    Yes, I am using that.. It showed in the "Installed" Tab that Genesis Starters essentials was installed, but it actually wasn't there..

    Good watch this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlTca7F3PZ8 from the DIM webpage http://www.daz3d.com/install-manager-info as I think you will need to tell Daz Studio where to find your content. That vid explains it all and show how to do it. If you need more help just shout.

    Also after you set up the correct content path, close Daz Studio and reopen. You should then get a window pop up asking to "Import Metadata" clcik accept and all should show up in either the Smart Content Pane or better still the Content Library Pane. Looking in Content Library Pane is a sure fire way to know content has installed as it is a direct and linked representation of your Hard Drive. So if it doesn't show up in the Content Libraray Pane then you know there is a problem.

    Smart Content Pane is a function of the CMS (Content Management System) which is not linked to the Content Library Pane.
