Perhaps a bit early on in my realizing the brilliance of Mr. Tomalin's genius, I purchased his original West Park set with a fully developed idea in mind... the Joker's "Return to Arkham".

Welcome to West Park :) nice render, too..!

Should we rename the thread "West Park - the online asylum"?

Please don't ... Jack has created more than West Park - and I, personally prefer the cleaner things or at least clean textures for the creations.

    Hi Jack,

have you ever thought about creating a ship? I have a suggestion, an old river ship like this one from the movie Fitzcarraldo with the great actor Klaus Kinski. The ship must not be su huge in lenght as it is in the image, maybe half that size, with doors to be open/close and maybe windows also. It has also the potential for add on packages for interiors like "the bridge", "the cabins", "engine room", "corridors" and what ever else is on board of such a ship. It has also potential for a brand new version and one old and rustic plus furnitures and so.

Sounds good to me. I have a very large collection of historical and fantasy gowns for my Victorias, this would provide an enticing backdrop for them.

You would need a decent, large scale water / river prop to go with it, though. These seem to be hard to come by from what I've seen. I've recently downloaded the new Seascape set. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet but perhaps that will do the job.

Over to you, Jack. What do you think?

well there are different possibilities. one really good thing for sea is nerds waterdisk from waves on the beach:

    http://www.daz3d.com/waves-on-the-beach

that I use most of the time for water renders because of the many morphs for waves this have. combinated with a huge skydome like that one from ultimo paradiso by AM (for which you have also clouddomes, a sundome and a moondome, stars and different textures - clouds, sun and moon can be used and rotated seperately). For most of my outdoor renders I use this clouddome except I use the easy environment products by flipmode but for every self outdoor landscape I use AM´s skydome.)

second is to use Jack`s waterplane from fantasy castle ground with a self made or edited bump map.

the waterdisk by nerd can be used without the beach-scenery it is a seperate item with lots of wave morphs.

I have, yes - to a certain degree.. and started doing one a while back of a Victorian nature.

It's quite an involved project, and not sure how long it would be until I could really round it out enough for people to pick up - but something along those lines is certainly on the todo list ;)

Not to fear, an non-Westpark shot is here.

It is not perfect, but I liked it thus far. Still doing alot of material tweaking and there will be more furniture in the final shot.

Winter Was Harsh using Tertius and Frost

Wanted to find a good angle to show off the interesting structure but also get a chance to try to render some ice. Rendered in 3ds Max first with a mirror shader, then composited in post with the original texture.

From the PC Contest this week.

I have to agree. Even if I didn't know the title of the render, that's exactly what I would've thought it was. Well done!!
