Anyone run into this? I select the material zone and click the Iray Uber Base and nothing happens.. tried other Iray textures, no avail..

Stumped.

(Edit: Is there a way to lock textures that I may be overlooking?)

    Not that I'm aware of.

I guess make sure you've picked the surface selection tool from the bar and clicked on the surface before attempting to apply the shader.

  • Yea, that's a given..

Okay, a clue.. Just for S&Gs I pulled up the Geometry Editor.. it's not showing any Face Groups or Surfaces, yet the prop (It's a ST:TNG Tricorder) has textures and UV on it. I'm not veteran enough to know what that means..

(Edit: Belay my last.. the prop parts are apparently parented to a null.. thus the above.. Don't I look silly?)

Make sure that the part is selected in the scene tab and the surface tab. The surface tab sometimes shows more surfaces when you have parts parented to something, so try selecting the sub-part from your phaser that you want to change, and then select the matching surface.
