It sounds like you did really smart things with your generator. That cat door idea sounds brilliant. It might be worth putting in a cat door, even though I don't own a cat! I'm in Florida, so hurricanes are our issue.

yeah, I would not want a pet door in Florida in case of uninvited guests coming in thru it

    Uh Oh! I'd better reconsider.

Well, if you don't need it to open for pets, most pet doors can be latched shut. The you would have a lower risk if you only unlatched it when you need to pass cables through.

Good to know. We're no kids, no pets, no houseplants - nothing that depends on us to care for it laugh.

awwww but that gator is so cute! unless you have pets >_<

hence the reason for the pet door, LOL. in the video the lady had cats and thought the gator got to them, but they were fine.

well.. i guess you could have a pet doot cuz the former house owner had pets while you don't, lol. but mainly it's just be being stupid XDD
yeah i saw the video, and first i wondered that the cats were safe, but then cats can and will climb up - luckily ^^

We have an external power plug for our generator that leads to a transfer switch next to the main electrical panel...

i was wondering about your generator.. those things make an awful lot of noise (and prolly smell too, since petrol driven...) - do you live in the outskirts/countryside or anywhere like not piled up with other houses/in a multiple stories building? (you might have told be at some point when we talked weather & stuff but yeah i barely remember what i ate yesterday, so... XDDD). where i've lived now & previously - if i had one - i could use it, but it would never have been possible as i lived in town in a flat block.
also, do they run without hiccups at all? like, computers are xtra sensitive to voltage variations i think.

I have an inverter generator, it's very quiet and efficient, and electronics-safe.
It puts out a stable sine wave.

had to goggle that one ^^ - thanks for the info, if i happen to need a generator at some point (like moving out even further away from town) i'll make sure to check this aspect ^^

Thanks! I guess they were busy trying to coax/threaten the store and MM page to behave.

that sounds like a good investment.

Looks like a quick clarification of the offer may be in order, for the $50 off Daz Originals in the Bridget 8 sale.

Here's a screenshot of the offer:

Screenshot, Bridget 8 Free DOs offer

Notice the line that states "Having more than $50 worth of these Featured Daz Originals will Make them not qualify as free"? Sounds kind of like putting more than $50 worth of DOs in the cart will lose the offer, doesn't it? But that's not the case.

The caveat might be confusing, but this is really the same thing we've seen with all such offers. As long as the price of the products is less than $50, the products will show up as free in the cart. Exceed $50, and the excess will be spread out among the items. They won't be free anymore, but you'll still get the full $50 deducted from the cart.

Thanks for your clarification, L'Adair - that's a pretty cryptic bit of text today!

Am I the only one having trouble with the current flash sale. Items are $2.99 or $3.99 with an additional 30% off with purchase of any new release. I have a new release in my cart and all my items are still $2.99/$3.99.....

I see the same, for example the Anatomy Starter Bundle stays at $3.99 even though I have one of today's new items in my cart (Pix Signe HD).

I guess the Madness has finally ended.  From my standpoint, a pretty good sale for both DAZ and I...

  • escrandallescrandall Posts: 494

I'd rate this March Madness as much better than 2018, but not up to 2017.  Still good and I spent too much.

  • Charlie JudgeCharlie Judge Posts: 13,242

Yeh, I'd rate it as pretty good but not spectacular overall. Seemed like munching little tidbits of goodness and followed by a great finale.

I'm really surprised, though that the sale promotion offers for Mr. Woo Pro disappeared after less than a week.

And as ever, I cannot work out Daz maths. Does the offer of an extra 30% if I buy four of the new releases actually work out as a 51% reduction?

    51% off = 0.49
    1*0.7 (30% off)*0.7 (another 30% off) = 0.49

So that is correct, that's what it should be.

PS: Wow, you have quite a few books, great work! Congrats!

Thanks, @Ati, my mind just blanks with numbers.

And I should be writing more...but Daz is addictive ;-)

The offer was tied into March Madness, with discounts on the Related Madness section. It's a shame they didn't rewrite the sales page with all references to MM taken out, and leave the offer up for another week.

Finally!  A simple Daz sale with bargains!  If Daz had done more sales like the Man Up sale today during MM, I might have bought more during MM...

We've seen sales structured like the Man Up sale in the past, so it's not THAT unusual, but it makes for a good excuse to grab a couple if items from my wishlist!  Decent sales on Male oriented content is very much appreciated! Gotta stretch mylimited Daz budget ya know...

Still waiting for some of those sub-$1 bargain basement deals to show up again. Admittedly, I've already grabbed most of the items I want when extreme bargain sales hit in the past,, but at least today's sale has piqued my interest a bit.

Note: there is a new weekly freebie, but it doesn't show up among the new items in the store. It shows up as if it were the oldest one.

Grr. When I woke up my phone had a notification that Skin Builder and Growing Up Morphs were at really good prices today.

I had to go out, but now I am back (11 am) I logged into Daz, to buy..... and the sale is over already!

So very frustrating.  They were the lowest prices for 6mo and a year.  So of course, no way I now want to buy until they go back to those prices again one day.

Flash sales are all very well... if you happen to be at your computer when they are on.  Otherwise they are just very frustrating indeed.

I was a bit surprised at the timing of that flash sale, too. Dawn in Europe, but even in the US it started in the evening, so anyone shopping during the day was out of the sale.
