  • I guess a COUPONIA CATCH-UPIA is on the cards once they get into the office and realise what has happened?

Perhaps it was all just a ploy to get us to spend money on Tutorials, as Coupon #5 is still functioning!

I had at least 4 of those tutorial products in my wishlist, so now they are in my library :)

6:00 pm, there should be no new update until midnight.

    Couponia "massive" sale is over.

??????  Right, the store doesn't turn over (aka the day ends) for 6 more hours. (1am Central Time)  But not following- why would you think it's over? (Although it SHOULD be if they can't get it fixed.)  The coupon updates releases are probably automatic. You can program that in Magento modules.

  • I like these short sales, I put a bunch of stuff in a cart, hesitate to decide if I really want to drop $70.  A call comes in, and when I get back the cart says $180 so it's an easy clear.

It's like window shopping but even cheaper.

More likely Daz will make it up to us with yet another "dollars-off" coupon for Daz Originals, (excluding PC+ and new releases, of course.)

If you really want something, @Novica's advice is the best:

    • Screenshot the offer,
    • Screenshot the cart,
    • Buy the cart,
    • And then ask CS for a refund. To make it easier for them,
      • Do the math yourself and include the exact amount of the refund in your request.
      • With 7, that would be the price in cart of the two DOs that should be free.
      • With 8, subtract the cost of the qualifying product, and multiply the result by .70, (that's decimal-point-seven-oh.) That will give you the amount Daz should refund to you.
        • As Novica stated, you should only be paying 30% of the price in the cart for qualifying items.

Don't muddy the water with other products in the cart. The more straightforward, and easier it is for CS, the sooner you should see your refund.

And if you decide to pay by credit card, make sure you ask them to refund the difference back to your card, as it will go into store credit by default otherwise.

To anyone who has not filed a ticket with S before, follow the link on the bottom of the page for "Contact Us."

If my CC wasn't already hurting from earlier today I'd be tempted. But the cart as-is with no discounts is just too high, even if I'll get it refunded later.

I didn't feel like I could really upfront the full cost of the items but I did make a screenshot of the cart with items I wanted along with a new release and submitted that to customer service along with a screen shot of the offer. They should be able to honor the offer that way as well.

Well Coupon 8 isn't working at all. I had one new release in the cart and added one of the light sets, and getting a "coupon not valid". I tried with a PC new release, then I tried with a non-PC new release. And nothing.

    Great sale, DAZ.

@charliejudge   I'm wasn't sure there would be a way to adjust prices on things which weren't purchased. I assume they need something in the system to work off of. Let us know how that works out?

I never plan to go that route, then again I am not one to return things to a brick and mortar store unless it is a big purchase or the product is actually defective. I have dealt with CS a few times and while the results were positive, it was time consuming, so I see no reason to overwhelm them with a store glitch. It's only 3D and it'll be on sale again.

Yeah, I'm taking a screenshot of my cart with the coupon-not-working error visible, and submitting it to customer service (or at least I'm trying to - is anyone else having trouble submitting tickets right now? When I press the submit button, the page seems to freeze).

But I'm not going to put hundreds of dollars on my account and then be forced to wait an unknown amount of time for the proper amount to be refunded. Honestly, to expect your customers to do that ... it is moderately mind-boggling.

And I don't even feel like we the customers can do anything without hurting the mods and PAs, which is the LAST thing I want to do! The coupon errors are probably hurting the PAs the most, too - it's an irritating inconvence for us as customers, but I'm assuming that PAs are losing revenue, which is far worse.

When I first got started in this crazy world, I asked Daz to honor my cart because the discounts went away but the all the sales banners and such were still active. They did, but I was required to buy the entire cart at full price, and then they refunded the difference.

Paypal Credit might be an option for some of you. If the cart is over $99, you have 6 months to pay in full without accruing any interest. Sadly, they now require a minimum payment each month, but if Daz has to refund a big chunk of that, it shouldn't be too difficult to turn around and pay it. Of course, not really an option if your money is already tied up in Store Credit. (And yes, Daz takes Paypal Credit. I've been using it for large GC purchases for well over a year now.)

I'm with @FSMCDesigns on this.  I don't want to bother with screenshots, tickets, refunds, and burden teh always (the few times I have needed them) support team,so Daz lost some money from me on coupons 7 and 8, but as @LaPetiteVerita said, unfortunately PAs are losing out too.  The sales will come around again, they will get my money eventually, and I will die penniless anyway!

@DAZ_ann0314 has been busy cleaning up the threads, merging, closing, etc. She reported the issue and the tech guys got it fixed. She also asked about Couponia-2, and was told they will put it back up for an hour or so. I just tried it with a couple of items I recall were in the offer, and it's not working yet.

Does anyone have the link to products Couponia-2 covered? That could be helpful if the code starts working, but the banner doesn't get added back to the page.

Ann, thank you so much for your help.

  • jakibluejakiblue Posts: 7,281

coupon 2 was an extra 40% off featured places or things, according to my email, but don't have a link to the category unfortunately.

Already done. I put in the ticket immediately after checkout. Thanks for the reminder, though. It's good to know you've got our backs.

Hmmmm. How are we supposed to remember what we had in the cart? That was so much earlier today! It needs to be put back up. I had items but no clue what they were.

    Finally!

It's the last Catch Up weekend, so that means the PC+ Anniversary sale should start on Monday.

And for any of you still lamenting the fact Couponia-2 didn't work, I'd just like to point out everything in the store is now at least 40% off, and higher if you buy two or more. That includes all those sets you couldn't get earlier with the coupon code. Looks like the Universe was doing you a solid. (Amazing what lingo you can pick up watching Blue Bloods on tv…)
