I do have some skin tight suits that might look awesome with this.
Laurie
I like the product, not been able to buy or such yet though. I do have a question to those that has bought it, and it's just curiosity... the headscarf thingie under the helmet, is it a piece of its own, or is it part of the helmet? If it's part of the helmet, can one hide the helmet and have a full headscarf thingie, or is it cut out where the helmet would normally hide it?
Hi Carola O, it is its own seperate piece, completely independent of the helmet.
Wonderful, thank you :)
So I gave it a go with this outfit:
https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-action-outfit-for-genesis-8-females
I like the boots from the action outfit, plus I don't have many G8F options clothing wise so this was my 'best' option.
Someone commented earlier about Battlemech pilots (Battletech/Mechwarrior) wearing less than usual, due to the amount of heat that floods the cockpit when fighting in a mech (managing your heat is an important aspect in Battletech, the artwork above is a Liao mechwarrior pilot). And the Sci-Fi Pilot outfit has a 'Mech pilot' as one of the material options, and the jacket could have water injected into the padding to help cool the pilot, so in that aspect it makes some sense. Other than the heels of course...
... Well I'll be damned.
The points made about Battletech/Mechwarrior are pretty good ones, and the more I think about it, the more it kinda makes sense.
No sarcasm, this has been really enlightening. And it's made me seriously consider purchasing this outfit, too.
Oh God, that bears no resemblance to anything anyone wears into space or to fly a jet. It looks like a deep-sea diver suit.
Here's a state-of-the-art spacesuit. https://www.nasa.gov/content/the-z-1/
Space suits have to hold together agaisnt 4.5-9 psi of internal atmosphere, over 2650 in2 of body surface, so about 12,500-25,000 pounds. They puff out, and you can't see it under the fabric but there are constant volume joints at shoulders, knees, elbows, ankles, etc. to keep the suit from constantly forcing the wearer into an "A" or "T" position.
Heres more kitbash using Orbital Merc, Pei Sui and Emeka Outfit. I do wish you could remove the skull decal from the helmet.
Designed by space dragons. Hamper the limbs and make it easy to get at the tasty bits.
You guys keep mentioning BattleTech and I keep twitching, having been doing writing for the upcoming game for the past 4 months...
Anyhow, I was totally going to pass on this since it's not my kind of thing at all, but between the many many images showing how flexible it is and the potential BT fanart angle, I think I'm changing my mind.
"Writing"???
What? Code, story, dialogue??? I have super high expectations for the game. Cant wait!
Dang it! I got inspired looking at this thread and went ahead and make the purchase only to realize the d/l is almost 2 gigs which means with my ISP, it will be a long, long while before I can even get it installed. There really needs to be file sizes posted before purchasing, would save me a lot of headaches.
Two GIGS???? o.O

The hidden cost to getting actual alternate outfit textures with a product.
Soooo... what does this outfit mean to the phrase, "Flying by the seat of your pants"?
That'll do it. I can usually knock off a ton of file size by converting a texture from png to jpeg, even at the highest quality.
AnotherUserName, Neurohacker & noshobawolf (great job, guys!) beat me to the kitbash render, 'cause I just got it today, but maybe later I can add my contribution to the proceedings as promised.
Following that thinking, a nude female with a gun would be the maximum feminist outfit?
And it's great that this outfit seems to be easy to kitbash. Not all are. Right now I don't need any space-/mechpilot outfit, but if I ever need one, I know which one to get.
Or a sword? In some kind of ambiguously religious setting, maybe.
Hmmmm, sounds vaguely familiar........
*Double take* Wait, what? One does not simply walk away after causally mentioning writing for that game. I am having withdrawl symptoms after cutting off the Beta after a couple hundred hours of Mech-blasting nirvana.*twitch*
I'm not a big fan of skimpy outfits, barbarian bikini armor and such. BUT, sometimes you want to show the skin. For example, Uchenna is a great scult, great face, but her primary feature, the thing that makes her really stand out, is her skin. The scarification, the tattoos, the painting. Putting her in a modern-ish realistic space suit, or effective armor, is going to waste all that.
Oh, um! On Battletech, I am doing "Additional Writing" which means backgrounds for pilots with custom backgrounds, and collaborating on events in the sim game.
On this pretty outfit: is it possible to download individual textures or is it just a couple of huge zip files?
It's just two huge zip files.
I'm totally against guns in real life, but if Rose McGowen had a gun with her when she went in the hot tub nude with Harvey Weinstein, I guess that would be a feminist statement LOL.
This comment is a great example of when I would totally use a thumbs-up, +1, or 'like'. Instead I must resort to this post. L O L.
Even in TV and movies women, even playing cops, often wear high heels. I was laughing when in "Atomic Blonde," Charlize Theron wore high spiked heels as she was running and chasing and being chased everywhere so I don't even think people expect "realism" anymore. Many people do this to create fantasy art but if you do need flat shoes or non-sexy clothes, they definitely do exist in the store, there is plenty of it and it's easy to kitbash. You can even put male clothing on the women, it works pretty well! Also if you have one non-tight-fitting outfit, you can try conforming the tighter outfit to it rather than the character, that can sometimes work. In general, unless people are rendering kids, I do think sexy IS more popular...
FWIW, I didn't even give this particular outfit a passing glance UNTIL people started to post renders of it with a bodysuit underneath. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
