Seeking Shaders (3Delight preferred)

So I feel like I have only the same 3 or 4 textures for all the comic book characters I am trying to make. I have been searching and searching but can't seem to find a lot of sahder sets design specifically for 3Delight. I am most interested in shaders that have a good texture quality like what you would se in the new Marvel and DC costume designs. Any suggestions?

It's not one I have but might this suit: https://www.daz3d.com/super-shaders-super-bundle not the cheapest set but hopefully it'll go on sale sometime during March and you might be able to pick it up cheaper.
I was going to recommend Day Job Shaders that had a selection of cloth shaders, Denim, Linen, Cashmere etc but it seems to have vanished from the store. But there is also The Fabricator with which you can mix weaves and colours here: https://www.daz3d.com/the-fabricator
Lots of others as well, if you're a PC+ member there are a fair few at $1.99
Thanks. That Super Bundle looks pretty good but definitely pricey. Added to my wishlist.
Also, I am trying to texture an .obj file that I imported. Basically I can apply metal shaders and basic colors, but the surface is smooth and won't take any actual textures. For instance, I created a set of nano tech designed images for diffuse, bump, normal and speculatiry. When I try to apply nothing happens. The obj is still just smooth and black. It won't render even showing the nano diffuse texture I made.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
I know this an older thread, but I am having similar problem. I have obj files I have imported and trying to apply textures and shaders to them. I was able to go into Geometry Editor and create new surfaces for the different parts, but when I apply textures nothing seems to happen. The parts just end up being black or what ever diffuse color I have defined. Nothing else.
Not quite sure what you're looking for, but here's some nice metal shaders with good displacement- and reflection maps, very versatile IMO:

Shaders or Shader presets?
Is it UV mapped?
I have had that problem before and though I can say for sure, I believe it needs to be uvmapped in order for the actual textures to work on it.
Your welcome, I'm afraid that I don't know what the issue with the .obj might be I'm not a modeler but I've not had an problems applying shaders to imported .obj's but it might be something to do with the way it's set up, all I can think of trying is using the Geometry Editor to assign some new surfaces and see if you can apply shaders to them, I have no idea if this might work as this is complete guess work on my part.
You might try looking into https://www.daz3d.com/pimp-my-prop
It's by the same artist as the Fabricator and the Hybrid grunge bundle, and is for 3DLight. The Fabricatror also has a number of add-on packages for clothing and other upholstry type uses.
Khory used to have her own website, but it's disappeared and there is now something in Japanese in its place.
And is the model UV mapped?
how can I tell if it is UV mapped?
So what I have done is downloaded an .stl file from the internet. I import into Blender and convert to .obj. Then i brought this into DAZ. I used Geom Editor and created surfaces where I want to apply shader and/or textures. So I can apply some shader presets such as Supersuit metals, which gives me at least a color and a metallic or reflective surface appearance. But if I try to apply a diffuse, normal, bump and displacement textures, they don't seem to show up at all. So the object doesn't allow for any kind of texture such as a leather appearance. Does that make sense?
Have you tried rendering it, or just loking at it in the viewport? Some shaders don't show up except in the render.
The supersuit shader presets use texture maps diffuse etc, it doesn't sound like it is UV mapped.
Hi, yes. When I render it doesn't have any texture applied. Just solid color.
How would I go about adding UV mapping to this. I do have Blender but not that good with it.
...anyone know if these are for 3DL?

Sorry for posting in this old thread, but I am having the same problem. I downloaded some armor items as stl from thingiverse and then conerted to obj in Blender. I imported those into DAZ and uesed the Geometry editor to slice them up and set different surfaces, but no matter what shaders I use, I can't apply any kind of texture to them. Basically I just end up with plain color, but it won't take bump, diff, normal maps at all. So for instance if I try to apply a leather texture, the obj just stay as a smooth object that is brown.
Any advice would be great. Thanks.
Probably needs to be UVmapped. Take it back into Blender and apply a basic box mapping to it and see if that helps.
Those were made for 3DL. They also work with IRay.

Unfortunately I am not that skilled in Blender. I have tried checking out some tutorials on YouTube, but not having any luck. I also tried opening the obj in Carrara and tried UVmapping in that as well, but running into strange issue where the UV view just looks like a flat line on bottom on screen. Ugh.
Split threads on the same topic from a couple of other threads and merged them here - if you post the same question in multiple places it's just gong to cause people to go over the same ground repeatedly.
..thank you
UVMapper (verify, but I think https://www.uvmapper.com/ ) might be one option.
Unfortunately it is only available on Windows it seems. I am on a MAC.
Hexagon also has UV mapping capabilities, currently free from DAZ & they have been doing updates recently, not sure how good it is as I've never really got into the modeling side of things (one of these daysmaybe), but as it's free it could well be worth a try.
