Complaint: I filed for SS disability,I was denied ,the denial stated that " while  you are unable to meet the function demands of the past job you retain the functional capacity to meet the functional demands" hmmm I  don't understand .ADD-ON The SS doctor of choice was a chiropractor

i remember, was like 25 years ago, anyway, neighbor's mom got the denial letter, but she'd already passed away when the letter came

yeah that's what I'm aafraid of .......though a co-worker of mine got it first try ,though she was a doctor-addict  she went to a doctor or emergency room for everything .......and me I've avoided doctors all my life ,if there's no blood or a bone sticking out of your skin shake it off and keep going ....which is probably why I'm not going so good now

had a mini miracle yesterday, still cant wrap my head around it.  omg, literally

sometimes the pain in my leg gets intense, is like a spasm comes like every few minutes, just stops me in my tracks
so, i', walkin home from the bus stop, hobblin on my cane
i pray to the angels cuz i figure the big guy is a busy guy
i'm asking angels for help, didnt think i was gonna make it all the way home
a lady stops to offer me a ride, people do sometimes stop for me, this isnt the mini miracle part
she's like, thos a long walk
i tell her how i'm tryin to get the paratransit bus, but the doctor's office has to fill out part of the application
she says she works at a doctor's office, who's my doctor,
i tell her, i kid you not she works at the very doctor i go to,
the very dr's office i need to fill out the application for the handicap bus!
had to hold my breath not to cry, what are the odds

...that would be so cool if this gets approved.  Would really make your commute a lot easier as well as shopping and such.

Fingers and toes crossed (and after all the CBD brews I imbibed in yesterday at the celebration, not a bit of stiffness or pain today).

...I received several of those and yes it can be discouraging, however that's what they want.  You just have to keep persistent and if you can get an advocate (there are special attorneys who just handle SS disability claims and you don't unless they get results [and it is usually just a small percentage of the award, for me it was around 300$ from my additional SSI benefits). My advocate is still working on my retroactive benefits which could be sizeable depending on how far back they can get them approved for.  Once that gets resolved, they can only take a percentage up to a cap of 6,000$.  It took me about three years as well as two physical/mental evaluations and several batteries of x-rays.

I don't think chiropractors are actual doctors.  I could be wrong.  I've been told that you have to try - several times, sometimes - before getting on disability.  Find a lawyer who does disability cases, they know how to speed up the wheels of progress.

Well that was my thought "chiropractors not being an actual doctor"  and I thought it strange he just gave me a couple of range of motion tests ,but hey what do I know ....... I've got an appointment with a lawyer  next week  ....and  I'm hoping ........and tht was cause earlier in the thread KK recommended it to somebody

but it's bad enough that the voice in the back of my brain keeps telling me to just "shake it off don't be lazy" ....

Visiting my mum for the night.  Having fun.  I am giving my old Eee to my stepfather so we have three computers on her dining room table.   It looks odd but in a fun way.

Non-complaint:  Adventure over, but not complete.  I didn't make it to Niagara Falls.  Time got away from me.  I did, however, have a wonderful trip down tastebud memory lane at Popeye's.   Mmmm, yum!  But it's a long way to go (75 miles) for Popeye's chicken! indecision  Since time had gotten away from me I took my Popeye's food to-go, and continued on to the concert.  I was in my Sunday go-to-meetin' clothes sitting in the concert hall parking lot munching out on Popeye's chicken before going into the hall.

The symphony was wonderful.  Not a note noticeably out of place.  Major mega volume, and clear as a bell.  So, I've confirmed that my ears are not producing distortion, it must be my sound system.   True I can't hear the really high notes, like the triangle but everything else was present and accounted for.  I don't think I've ever heard Dvorak's "New World" symphony live before.  Incredible sound.  There were 7 bass violins.  I never realized how much of a role they played in the piece.  The brass section really sounded out, clear, brilliant.  And in Kleinhan's Music Hall, you can hear the slightest of sounds from the instruments.  Great massive sound fully in my face.  Absolutely convinced I did not waste my money.  And nobody in the audience spoiled the mood, no slamming doors, no whining children, nobody exiting and entering my row 3 times during the performance, no noticeable coughing.  Everybody was being civilized. yes

Complaint:  Driving in Buffalo sucks, even on a Sunday. surprise  I'd hate to try it on a weekday.   I've been away from Washington, DC too long.  I guess I've lost my big-city driving skills. sad

One thing about the concert yesterday.  After getting home I played part of one of my recordings of the "New World" symphony and noticed that at the points where it gets really loud the sound engineer turns down the gain so as not to overload the recording medium.surprise  But when hearing it live yesterday those points were particularly memorable because it just kept getting louder and then when you think it can't get any louder, another group of instruments joins in and brings it over the top, crowning the event. yes That feeling is really diluted in the recordings. frown It's a limitation of the dynamic range of the recording media.  Good example of why going to a live concert is worthwhile.indecision

It is so much easier to see my notebook's screen inside than outside.   The glare on the screen is too much outside which is not as bad inside.
