Render speed ( i am sorry, yet again )

I am sorry for asking as i am sure it's come up a million times.

I've gone through many youtube videos and topic on render speeds.

I did some test last sunday, the whole day and see where/how i can speed up my renders but still get HD quality. Anything between 1920x1080/4000x2950 for instance. I had a coffee mug on a table and viewed close and far with different resolutions settings and Render Quality settings from 2.5 to 3.0. The Render times varied but were pretty low. From 2min to 55s etc..

Then i had a model sit on a chair and repeated same thing. This type render's longest time took 15min and the quality was high and what i wanted.

What else can one do to speed things up. I have several scenarios inside a kithcen/bathroom/living room with good to adeqaute lighting but these all take over 4hrs and more.

Would it help playing with optimising or shadows etc...?

What have you guys found that speed up render times but gave you very good quality. I am mainly looking for a view of a room type of rendering, not close ups as these i have managed to render pretty quickly.

OK not all at once... I'll answer my own question then. For those in the future wanting to know.

I basically did below full body render in 30min and i am sure you can speed things up even more and have loads more going on in the background of your image. I will test this theory tonight.

Basically watch this video and do as he says

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1UWpBcPRs0

I used a 3200x2500 resolution with Render Quality "Off" ( previously used it but it slows you down ) and Max samples set to 2000. I then did another test and used 1200 samples and it looked awesome and i was only at 46% ( 33min ) so i stopped the render it looked great.

The original image looks so much better than attached below. I had to crop it also.

There are many ways to speed up rendering. But the best is to keep the iterations low (max samples setting) and then use a denoiser filter to clean up graininess. You can use GIMP or Photoshop for still pictures or After Effects or any similar software for animations. Also the assets below may help a lot. And yes, this has been covered in the forum quite widely so just search around and you'll find tons of tips.
