My G8F gives me the same error message when loading it. I'm pretty sure it didn't do so before the DS 4.10 update. I've just been ignoring it.

I'm getting the same error as of a couple of days ago.  And both Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 are installed (via DIM)  happening on both my laptop and my PC.  The content still seems to work just fine, but the constant error message is annoying.

I had a similar problem loading G8 "data/daz 3d/genesis 3/female/genesis8female.dsf", and the problem was because I installed Anaya, from here.

To find the error, provisionally delete all subfolders from "data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs", and just leave subfolder "DAZ 3D".
and go testing which folder was the problem.

OK do you have the Growing Up morphs installed for G8F? I unplugged my g3 runtime and started getting the same error and so through a painful process of adding morphs back 1 by 1 I found that the error was being caused by those morphs. I dont know which one specifically but removing the folder from data stopped the issue.

Ugh well at least i figured it out for my issues. I had to do it the long way. I zipped up my data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs folder and added them back one by one. Every time i would relaunch DS and load G8F. I stopped as soon as i got the error, for me it was Growing Up and checking the data files there are 2 that call for Genesis 3 instead of 8. Maybe if you went through that slow tedious process you could figure it out?

It was not necessary to restart DAZ.
And you can also eliminate half of all subfolders, review (load G8) and undo delete.

I usually have issues with DS unless i restart so it was just more for thoroughness on my end :)

Interesting but I hadn't installed anything but the starter essentials for G8F at the time I  had the issues. Nice to know it wasn't just me. I haven't gotten around to doing a bug report as real life has been a bit hectic lately.

  • What about manual installs of content not handled by DIM, such as from Rosity/Rotica or freebies? Maybe a pose package or hair thingy? Could some bit of Essentials content have been updated to include a G3 clone for backwards compatability?

Was this ever solved?  I'm now getting that too and I don't have any of the freebies from BrazilCoCo nor the Growing UP morphs.  So sort of annoyed.  It's not a deal breaker but it's annoying every time I load  up G8F or a scene file with her in it I get that darned message.
