Animation w/ a Proxy

I feel like I'm missing something really basic here and I'm currently not having any luck searching the forums.

How do I transfer animations from a "proxy" to my fully finished character. For example, if I have a half-dozen G2 Male figure fully clothed in combat gear, I'd like to animate some unclothed G2 Male figures to save on burdening my PC while I'm animating. Then I would, prior to rendering, import my fully geared up G2 Male soldier (exported as a "Scene Subset"), transfer all the animations from the proxy to this figure, delete the proxy, repeat for all the other soldiers, and then start renders.

Any help is appreciated, as always! Thank you.

Load a default G2M, create your animation and save it as a pose preset/animation or aniblock, load the scene subset character and apply your animation preset!
