No - but I simply hit ctrl+f and search for -9 or -8 ... *grin*
Grabbed Lilith and Voodoo. The Voodoo package bugs me, as does the marketing of Monique/Darius, but at such a discount... sure, why not.
Searching on -100% will find free stuff, but other percentages don't seem to work...
Yeah, dearly though I love DAZ, the "racist tropes'r'us" marketing of non-white characters is problematic, to say the least. I can understand why framing things in terms of popular stereotypes might make commercial sense, but I sometimes wish they could be a little more nuanced.
I did too. Even though I already had some stuff from the Voodoo package, it's still a steal.

As I was buying Mec4D's latest shader pack anyway, it was nice to pick up the Lilith Pro bundle for $2.95 via the "Best Fantasy" sale. It's worth checking to see if these sales cross-reference.

Yeah, there are white people shown wearing some of those outfits. Blatant cultural appropriation. I held firm and didn't buy.

Voodoo typically would be practised by people of a dark complexion. Caucasian practitioners might exist, but I'd imagine they'd be rare by comparison. I'm honestly mystified as to why there's such a controversy regarding that.
I realize this is a digression from the purpose of Flash Sale alerts, but as a dabbler in American folklore, I'm glad the voodoo models exist, and I suspect Zora Neale Hurston would've been, too. If anyone feels uncomfortable referring to voodoo, you can always get academic and talk about vodoun or go for something even more southern and call it hoodoo.

Sure, but voodoo's an African diasporic religion. It's kinda like complaining about someone making a picture of a white nun. It is tricky when people go for horror movie imagery, but they do that with white Catholic characters too. Vampires and zombies came from traditions associated with different races, and now everyone gets to play with them, and not that many actual Catholics or believers in Vodoun get upset because they know it's not really about the religion.

If you were putting a selection of voodoo costumes/props together, which other ethnicity of character would you feel would be suitable to generate promotional images with? As I understand it, it's primarily a Haitian tradition. Hispanic might possibly work, but I don't think there are any in the 'official' Daz Studio line (unless I'm mistaken).
