    i purchased this back in 2014, and it's a very nice set. I paid much more than this for it, btw. It's actually 4 completely different portal scenes and, while they are 3delight, they translate reasonably well to iray. In general, it looks OK, and those with greater understanding of the iray shaders could probably improve it considerably. The only real drawback, aside from the lack of specialized iray shaders for some of the "glowee" parts is that the island that I loaded has a very old fashioned transition from greenery to stone. I suspect if it were made today, there would probably be some geometric grass tossed in to make the transition more believable (you can see what I'm talking about in the main promo if you look toward the bottom at the transition from grass to stone. You can fix that, of course, either in post or by adding in some grass of your own....or rocks...or just changing the camera angle...

     

    Thanks for the heads up.! I belive that this "problem zone" is managable. I will probably buy it tomorrow morning..

    During March Madness, taking part in March Madness was required for the flash sales.

    Today there is a big promotion for PC+, the flash sale must be a part of that.

    ...guess I've bene out of touch with this thread (ebot issues) for too long.

    Didn't bother with MM as I was too broke and my PC+ membership espired in the last week of February.  Haven't been able to renew it even for 3 months.

    Something has gone badly wrong with the shopping cart. It kept switching between full price and sale prices so when I got a screen confirming the sale prices I hit buy. That took me off to PayPal and I confirmed payment only for that screen to hang-up and time out. The I go an email from PayPal confirming payment to DAZ but DAZ are not recognising the purchase and the items are still in my shopping cart.  When will they sort out this store software?

    That's normal. The banners sometimes go up sooner than the sale actually starts.

    Yep, and that saves me money since I am NOT a PC member, thanks DAZ, LOL.

    Wonder if this will be the norm now since I really look forward to flash sales, it will save me the trouble of checking them out in the future.

    I Belive this is just during this PC+ Get Shinier Promotion.

    Anyway if you buy for more than 20 Bucks on average per month at Daz it is hard to justify not to shell out the 3,80 (or less) a month for PC+

    ...the shortest membership available is three months which is 24$. Right now that's several days worth of groceries on my budget..

    Don't even know why I am wishlisting anything as unless my fortunes turn around (eg, my SS Disability claim gets pushed through) I don't see myself buying very much.

    If I remember correctly, this isn't the first time that DAZ has had flash sales for PC+ Members only, and we do seem to be in the middle of a PC+-flavored week (with special offers on PC membership, and more). My guess would be that this is a this-time thing, intended to make PC+ membership seem more attractive, rather than the way it will always be in future.

    Which is not to say that they won't have other future sales for which you have to be a PC+ Member, or have to buy or own a certain item, or be a blue-eyed left-handed dwarf from Latvia, or whatever. Just that I'd be surprised if it became the rule.

    bytescapes is right. DAZ has done this before, in the midst of a "membership drive." I'm pretty sure the the Flash Sales will go back to being for anyone and everyone after the current membership sales push is over.

    My hypothesis for the PC+ membership drive is to somewhat promote the RDNA deep freeze items transitioning over as PC+ items...
