    Jaderail no problem :)
may I ask what (or who) is Renderman?

Renderman is the 3D render engine that 3Delight is using. It can be used as a Stand alone engine if you wish to install it and send the proper file types to it. Many do and prefer it to the Built in version in Daz3D.

Renderman is the 800lbs Gorilla in the room. It's Hollywood's favourite render engine.

3Delight is Hollywood's second favourite render engine.

I just wrote a blog about that: http://wancow.deviantart.com/art/3Delight-The-2-Render-Engine-in-Hollywood-366276410

Jederail, lots of folks are confused on that point. I've heard from so many that "3Delight IS renderman..." which is untrue. 3Delight is renderman compliant, in that it uses RSL (the Renderman Shader Language) and any file that Renderman reads can be read by 3Delight. But 3Delight is NOT RenderMan. RenderMan is a registered trademark of Pixar Animation Studios. Other Renderman compliant engines are BMRT (which I don't think is around anymore), Pixie, JrMan, Aqsis, Angel, AIR and others...

All of these read RIB files and have the ability to render that which DAZ Studio Produces.

Oh no. I'm much too large for birds to be adequate.

We over at Daz3DelightExp are open to any Daz user. Come look and join in. You only need 3 renders.

    erm.. poser excluded? :)

Does Poser use 3Delight? If the purpose is for use of the 3Delight Render Engine, it's kinda pointless if you're using Poser.

Ahaaa... ok.. Opps missed this, sorry Krissy but yes it's a Daz3D, 3Delight and Renderman only group.
...sounds like a place where I'd be at home at as pretty much everything I do is rendered in 3Delight.

I'm experimenting with my first 'comic' with the BelBel/ChibiBel-based characters. :)

A friend of mine recommended that, although I don't have much 3D art in my gallery, I should still put my link up on this thread. So here it is:

I'm actually quite surprised how many people here are also on DA. I've yet to check out all the links here but I'm gonna put mine out before I chicken out, lol. I've been lurking here in the new forums every now and then when I haven't really been doing 3d stuff since I got really busy with college but I'm slowly trying to get back into some of it. Anyway my page is at: http://oro-snake.deviantart.com/ :)
